"The property was nice. The only problem I had was that the guest before us had a cat that slept on the bed. Housekeeping didn’t change the comforter and I got cat hair all over my clothes. "

"We came into town under unfortunate conditions. My father passed away. We are originally from Hertford. Never knew Snug Harbor was so nice. But we absolutely enjoyed our stay. The views. The quiet. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the pier. Time spent reflecting. Our kids enjoyed the many games and playing pool and sitting in the swing watching the river ripple. We want to come back for sure. Thank you!"

"Wonderful stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans (one thing I would suggest is a new can opener the one there does not work well). Beds were comfortable. The host was very accommodating (we locked the keys in the house and she responded to us right away). Would stay there again. Went to pocosin nature preserve to photograph the tundra swans. Drove to pea island for more photography. Excellent trip."

"We had an incredible stay at this VRBO! The location was absolutely ideal—peaceful, scenic, and just steps from the water. The property itself is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it perfect for multiple families traveling together. Everyone had room to spread out, relax, and enjoy their own space while still feeling connected.What really stood out was how generous and well-prepared the host was. They provided an amazing array of water gear—lifejackets, kayaks, and plenty of other fun items to enjoy the lake. Honestly, there was more to do than we could fit into a week! It felt like every day brought a new adventure, and the kids (and adults!) were never bored.This home is clearly cared for with love and attention to detail. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming about our next visit. Highly recommend for families looking to make lasting memories together!"
