"Great hotel located directly across from the railway station. Kat and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the second floor which was quiet and our room was comfortable, clean and cozy. The sound proofing was good as we didn’t hear anything from the bar on the ground floor. There is a great selection of food and drinks at the bar and the hotel breakfast was tasty. The weather was lovely when we were there, so we were able to sit out in the outdoor seating area. The hotel is approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk away from the town centre. "

"Really spacious room in perfect location with views of the lake. The room was very clean and had everything we needed including toiletries, tea and coffee. Beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The decor is a little dated but did not impact the experience. Would definitely come back again!"

"The ‘mandatory’ online check in and codes for bedroom doors were a bit of a faff but the hotel has been significantly upgraded and the decor is very tasteful."

"We arrived for a 3 oclock checkin and the room wasnt ready. There was no forewarning and we were told come back in an hour and mayb e it might be ready then!! We had to leave our luggage, coulddnt get changed into clothing for going out, and randomly kill an hour in Guildford! Ruined the experience"

"It was my first visit and I enjoyed it very much. I went for a lovely walk around the hotel, the grounds are really nice. Staff were also very friendly. I used the sauna and steam room, both were really nice. The pool floor needed a clean, I know it’s busy, but it really did need it. I will definitely go again to this hotel. Breakfast was really good also."

"The air conditioning was rarely turned on and the room was hot and stuffy. No control of air colnd from the room unit. Order the vegetable soup for 6 pounds. Was watered down freeze dried 'cup-a-soup'. Bloody awful. Was refused a hot steak sandwich at 7.20pm and told by staff not available after 6pm as per the menu. Nowhere on the menu is this stated. (THEN ODERED THE SOUP INSTEAD) Constant noise of thumping feet and furnuture being dragged accross the floor up to 11pm at night from the floor above us. Rang reception to complain at 10pm but nothing changed. I could not recommend this hotel dispite staff bring friendly."
