"Wonderful place - plenty of room for 16 adults. Lena was wonderful. Very attentive and responsive. This is exactly what a Vrbo property should be. A way to enjoy local living and culture at a very reasonable price. "

"We stayed at the deluxe apartment and although it was pretty that was about it. The AC was broken and when I called, they told me there were no ACs in the apartment even though we could see the units installed, and we should just open the windows. This was obviously inconvenient being that we were in the town center so it got very noisy at night and the streets often smelled like sewage. Since the hotel is located in the town centre, there very limited parking options so we had to use the underground parking garage which they charged 20 euros a night for. We didn’t opt for the breakfast as it would have been another 20 euros per person per day. Since we stayed at the apartment it was a separate building from the hotel and you would think that paying more for the apartment meant better services but nope. It seems that there was an up-charge for any service that would normally be included with the regular hotel rooms, for example we had to pay for daily housekeeping if we wanted our rooms cleaned daily. Also the parking garage at multiple times wouldn’t open with the access card and they also charged us for parking on our check out day. Overall this was not a good hotel stay, the only positive was that it was situated very close to restaurants, cafes and markets so it was nice to explore the town. If you’re thinking of staying here I would opt for the basic hotel rooms. We had no choice but to get the apartment as it seemed like the only comfortable option for a family of 3 "

"The pool was large and clean, although we would note that it is a swimming pool rather than a leisure pool, and the depth and single entry/exit ladder means close supervision would be needed for young children. The pizza oven and grill were superb, although more firewood for the pizza oven would be nice. The kitchen was generally well-equipped- see suggestions for improvements. The WiFi was solid and reliable. Philippo was a good host. We would suggest providing a few smaller roasting tins for the kitchen, and waste bins in each bedroom/en-suite bathroom. A knife sharpener would also be helpful, as would a plug for the kitchen sinks. With larger numbers of guests, the 2-slice toaster is too small - a catering-standard toaster for at least 4 slices would be suggested. A selection of larger glasses (eg for Aperol Spritz or beer) would be nice."

"I was not happy with this hotel for a variety of reasons, one of them being the strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room. The staff, however, were nice and friendly."

"Great stay! This peaceful property draws you back in medieval time, both with the look and smell (we had to use to the smell though). The rooms are big and clean. A huuge TV in the living room, a pity that the room cannot be more spacious:) The kitchen/dining room could also have been bigger, with a bit more light, but that's how old Tuscan houses look like:) We found all necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms and plenty of towels.The pool is super nice, with a relaxing area around. Thanks to Roberta and Giovanni (with Nina;)!"

"An amazing apartment to explore Pisa, Lucca and the surrounding area. It has everything you need, is very clean and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect for walking to fantastic local restaurants and exploring the historic buildings of Vicopisano. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and the hosts are super knowledgeable and very helpful. Highly recommended for an authentic local experience."
