Starting with the very easy check-in process, the cabin was very clean and comfortable, very roomy! This was a Christmas gift for our daughter and son-in law, they too enjoyed the stay, they loved the loft area.

Awesome getaway

We had a blast, other checking in later in the day everything was perfect. Easy simple home feeling house. Definitely recommend staying here anytime. Wonderful location seconds from the strip and places to eat. The stay definitely was a 10/10

Nice Cabin

We've stayed in many different cabins within Big Bear Lodge and this one may be the nicest. The cabin was updated throughout and felt almost new inside. There are really nice views off the deck and there's a hot tub on it. The pool table upstairs was fun and was a good way to distract the kids from their screens. We definitely enjoyed our time here and will reserve this one again in the future.

Our Retreat

The property was very nice but not ideal for us. The parking was fine since it was a slow time but would be difficult if busy. There were steep steps into the place that were hard for us to climb. Definitely not handicap friendly. The view from windows and porches was mostly blocked by the trees.

Carpeting needs a seious update or scrubed.you could see the path most traveled on the steps...my feet got dirty from walking indoors. The utensil drawer had 2 spoons and 2 forks . We sent the host a message about it and he had some delivered

Love, love, love!!!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights here for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. Even though we were surrounded by other cabins it still offers just enough privacy and a view of the mountains. The location of the cabin is absolutely perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the great attractions Tennessee has to offer. We visited the Tuckaleechee Caverns, The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Anakeesta, The Titanic Museum, the Island in Pigeon Forge and Dollywood and everything was within a reasonable drive. Samuel was an amazing host and his response to any questions I had were very prompt. We look forward to visiting again.

Overnight Close to Town

This property was perfect for our purpose, which was just an overnight getaway for two couples. The property is in a cramped development and is one side of a duplex so there was a bit of noise from the neighbors in the morning, but it is very conveniently located near the strip in Pigeon Forge, which is what we wanted. The unit was super clean, well equipped and very well decorated. Only the exterior looks like a cabin, the interior does not, if that’s what you’re looking for. Each bedroom has its own bath but the second bedroom is in the loft area with the pool table. This wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for others. Just fyi, the view off the back deck is of Wears Valley Road so there is traffic noise (only if you’re outside) and no mountain view. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked very clean. There was good communication from the owners and check in and out was very easy. We would definitely stay here again for a quick trip.

Super clean and cozy

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly! The floors were super clean. I could walk bare footed and felt nothing. Its a big deal when you have a crawling baby! Beds were comfortable enough. The pull out bed in the sofa isn't great, but we made due. Most of them arent wonderful, so this was to be expected. The hot tub was amazing. Great privacy on the back deck. Were loved the pool room area and the lay out of this cabin. The indoor pool was a hit. Unfortunately, the hot tub in the pool room wasn't working, but that didn't matter to us. The best thing was having that cabin feel to our trip, but being just off the main strip of Pigeon Forge. It makes a huge difference when you have littles. We would definitely stay again. My only wish is that they had extra blankets. I only brought one. I think that its listed that they dont have extra blankets, so that was my fault. Thank you for the great stay!

This property has enormous potential. I am the travel agent writing this on behalf of my client which happens to be my family. This was for a couple with 3 boys. Had not had a vacation in 3 years. While this property met their needs with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, had a pool table and excellent location. The boys enjoyed the hot tub. However, upon their arrival they discovered a shower door off track but opted to have them come after they departed to fix it bc they could use the master bath. The place was lacking in cleanliness and needs a good deep cleaning. Ceiling fans, mantle extremely built up with dust. This family had to go buy trash bags. That isn't a big deal, but when they are supposed to be in the unit, they are supposed to be in the unit. Cooler weather also calls for extra blankets and none were found. I have also forwarded photos of maintenance and cosmetic issues throughout the unit. A staple that ripped Jessica's pants, the shower door, a commode not anchored securely to the floor, several things that need to be addressed and brought up to the standards that this unit leads one to believe. Matter of fact, they had 4 nights booked and opted to leave after staying 3. There were some good points as well....the location is fantastic, and the property certainly has potential. But when you have 3 TV's in a unit and only one that works properly, and the other problems, I would not book this again until I am assured it has met the proper protocol.

Would not recommend during a holiday

We arrived late Monday evening after driving through traffic and wildfires. We had a hard time finding the unit in the dark, and a simple photo of the outside of the unit and property map would have been a huge help. There are no designated parking spaces and even though the email stated we had one reserved spot, that was not the case. It seems there are either not enough spots, or too many guests with more than one vehicle. People were parked in walkways and on sidewalks, cars were blocking others in. It was a mess all week! The unit isn’t REALLY set up for 6 people, but we made it work. It didn’t have a Christmas tree set up (as you see in photos), there were only 3 spoons in the entire kitchen, and our biggest complaint, no cable TV. Normally not a big deal… but Thanksgiving for us equals a parade and football! We were instructed to download and try different apps, which honestly took HOURS, and tons of confusion. Each tv was different and logged into different things. Forget letting grandma try to watch TV here! If the listing had stated there was no cable, we honestly would have looked elsewhere. By day two the one and only trash can was overflowing. The note stated to drive our trash THREE miles away to a city dump if the trash is full. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous at a vacation rental property! Between the parking and the trash, there’s obviously some things they need to address here. Overall, for the price paid, I felt we could’ve found better.
