Nestled under the sandstone bluffs that nature carved out of Rocky Hollow, things are quiet, easy going, and perfect for your holiday away from it all. Here lies Big Rock Log Cabin tucked away in the Kentucky mountains yet only minutes away from Natural Bridge State Park, Red River Gorge and the Daniel Boone National Forest. After a day of fishing, hiking, or rock climbing, Big Rock is a wonderful place to come home to. Relax on a large covered porch complete with comfortable lounge chairs and table. Come ready to grill out on the porch at the gas grill and eat out under the trees at a picnic table nestled up in Big Rock Hollow. Big Rock Log Cabin beckons you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, all in the comfort of a cozy & well furnished log cabin, or lean back in a lounge chair inside Big Rock’s own rock shelter. Big Rock Cabin is fully furnished with new furniture and antiques, creating a cozy, comfortable feeling. All linens, blankets and towels are furnished so all you need to bring are food, drink, and personal items. Central air and heat will keep you comfortable any time of the year. Big Rock Cabin has a bath and a half plus a Jacuzzi. Do you like to cook? Cabin has a galley style kitchen that is fully furnished with refrigerator, electric stove, dish washer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and all the utensils you need for cooking, eating, and drinking. Don’t want to cook? During the season Big Rock is only 5 minutes away from great pizza, subs, or a full buffet dinner. That’s the nice thing about Big Rock, it’s close to everything, but when you top the ridge and drive down into Rocky Hollow you are suddenly away from it all. Natural Bridge State Park is only 5 minute drive where you can enjoy hiking trails, fishing lake, or dinner in the resort lodge. Five minutes more and you are in the Red River Gorge Geological Area and the Daniel Boone National Forest with it’s forest and mountain trails leading to huge natural stone arches and fantastic views of cliff lined valleys. Pets are allowed. You can even enjoy the trails with your dog in the National Forest. This is a wonderful, undiscovered part of nature where you will see breath taking views without hoards of people. There isn’t a stop light for 20 miles. Come to the Kentucky Mountains and stay at Big Rock Log Cabin. This is a family cabin and not for parties so no spring breakers please.

Very spacious! We had 3 dogs and there was plenty of room! Pretty quiet and enjoyable. We stayed about a week and didn't get bored. Would recommend!

PERFECT Red River Gorge location

Everything about this property was fantastic. Comfortable, great kitchen, and the fire pit is a bucket list experience. Perfect location for all the fun RRG activities. Couldn’t find a better deal in the area.

Took our 84 year old parents on a long week end away. The location is perfect to do the driving trip around the gorge. We enjoyed the fireplace anew the outdoor fire ring. The cabin is beautiful. Location is remote but not far from all the sites and activities.

Fantastic cabin close to Natural Bridge State Park

Fantastic cabin with everything you need for quiet getaway. Nicely secluded but close enough that accessibility is not an issue. Cabin is extremely comfortable with amazing outdoor space, especially the fire pit area. Highly recommend this property for a great getaway.

This cabin is so cool! Awesome decorating, very comfortable and accommodating for our family. The cabin is locator the bottom of a steep hill in the first , right next to a beautiful rock formation, it’s truly is a hidden gem!

The property was even better than the pictures! We had a great time staying here! Thank you for taking care of the property. We had no complaints. The fire pit under the rock overhang was a definite bonus. Lots of conversation about the eclectic art work throughout the cabin!

Everything about this was perfect The cabin is SO much more than what is listed. It’s absolutely beautiful and spacious and better stocked than any rental we have ever stayed in. Check in was super easy. The hummingbirds were fabulous. We just absolutely loved Big Rock Cabin and can’t wait to go back!

Second stay - even better than the First!

This is an amazing location. The cabin is so clean and well stocked. Even more unique is the firepit tucked up under a huge rock overhang. Very comfortable and inviting. We will be staying again in the hopefully near future. The hiking is breathtaking with views unlike any place else we have been. The owner truly cares about your stay!

Cozy well designed cabin!

Cabin is truly lovely, well decorated and cozy. The gas fireplace was so nice to cozy up to. This is my fault for not looking into the photos more, but while doing my search I made sure the place had a “hot tub” and I assumed this meant a standard outdoor hotub, not a jacuzzi in the loft… other than that, the cabin exceeded expectations.

Loved the location, the cabin, and the big rock. The only negative we could think of was the condition of Rocky Hollow Resort Rd. The condition was poor. It had many deep pot holes and erosion damage.

Perfect Kentucky Mountains & Forest Get Away

After two years apart, two great friends met halfway at this absolutely perfect cabin. Neither of us had been to the Red River Gorge and the cabin's covered front porch was the perfect place for coffee before daily hikes and refreshing beverages after. The kitchen privided everything we needed to cook our meals and the beds were comfy bliss. The interior is filled with intriguing art and comfortable furniture. The firepit grotto is pure magic - we were serenaded by a night singing whipporwill under a full moon. Yes, this us the place for renewal and relaxation.
