"We didn’t use the gym but saw that it was small when we passed it. Free breakfast was adequate. The bottle of body wash in the shower was empty upon arrival. Told the cleaning personnel that I passed in the hallway about it. I don’t think that they understood English but they did repeat the word soap. The body wash container was never replaced or refilled."

"The hot tub was under construction and that was the reason we booked this place. We wanted a hotel with a hot tub. I know repairs need to be made but I think it should be announced so people know that it is happening during their stay. "

"Check-in was very delayed due to limited cleaning staff. The front desk staff was overwhelmed and apologetic. The hotel was at capacity due to multiple sports tournaments in the State College area. The room set up was convenient for a family and the hotel itself is new. Throughout the hotel there were overflowing trash cans, lobby bathrooms were clogged and never had the trash removed or paper towels replaced. It was clear that the hotel was understaffed in terms of maintenance and upkeep. During our stay, we encountered a very rude front desk attendant. She refused to offer us a late check-out (even though the check-in was two hours delayed). She came out to yell at our group while we were eating in the lobby and continued to be rude to other customers. The following morning, the new front desk attendant offered us a late check-out. Our daughter and her entire team used the pool. Upon our arrival home, our daughter had red sores on her feet and her eyes were swollen. Within the following 24 hours, her entire body was covered in the red bumps. The entire team that stayed in the hotel and used the pool was covered in the rash. They were diagnosed with folliculitis (staph) from the pool. This hotel has a great location and the room set up is family friendly. Unfortunately, they need more staff and better upkeep. "

"Overall, the hotel was clean. Our tv in our room didn't work. Maintenance came up and tried to fix it which we really appreciated and the man was extremely nice. He could not fix the problem but offered to get us another room. The manager came up and told us there were no rooms the same as what we had available to move to. He offered a smaller room at the other end of the hotel or to stay in our room and apply a discount. My husband and I agreed to stay for a discount. We ended up needing to stay another night and the front desk did accomodate that at the same rate. However, when we checked out, there was no record of a "discounted rate". The manager we talked to was not on duty and the front desk had no idea what I was talking about. She said she would get ahold of him and someone would be in contact. I have yet to here from anyone and they have charged me $100 more for the second night than I even orignially paid for the first night. Just not sure why the communication was not clear."

"Went to the Big Ten Wrestling Championships, awesome hotel! Looking forward to staying there again. Hopefully to golf next time!"

"The atmosphere was perfect for someone that wants to get away without the big hotel concerns. Quiet, clean, and great place to stay. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to eat. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again. "

"We reserved a king size bed and paid while driving, using Expedia, arriving late. When we got there they said they didn't have that room, offered a two bed room for me to check. We need space to set up a dog crate. The room had not been cleaned. The next room had a king with space for crate, was handicap accessible which did not bother us. What did bother us was the cheeping smoke detector. They changed battery in the room we were in and said they would change the one across the hall that was cheeping but it cheeped all night. The TV did not work, in the morning the woman at desk said the TV does work but she had to set it, we should have called her. It was after 11:30 and we just wanted to cover the cheeping from across the hall. We would have slept better if they had reset the TV when they changed the smoke detector battery, they seemed aware of the TV problem, and if they had changed the battery across the hall. The breakfast had variety and included egg and sausage options, so better than typical hotel breakfast."
