“Sean, We had the best year of fishing in over a decade. The property is awesome, and access to the water is easy. One silly item would be more hooks on the wall to hang clothing. Also, I wasn't sure how to turn on the baseboard heater in the bedroom. I turned on the bathroom and left the door open.”

“Total relaxation with the splendor of the Delaware River just across the lightly-traveled street. Too early for river sports but there’s plenty of hiking in the area’s many parks, easy access to services with a walk across the bridge to Callicoon (market, restaurants, movie theatre, a few shops) or just be still to watch the eagles fishing for hungry babes in the nest above, river ducks and geese, and small drifting boats with fly fishing folks. The front bedroom is tight and the second is dark……

“We were in town to visit relatives just a few miles away. My group of 4 adults shared this space. The house was adequate for our needs. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. My only negative was that the living room space was small and we had to gather in a bedroom to watch TV. We will definitely return to this home.”

“Security at the entrance was challenging, however, as a single woman, I felt safe because of it. Cabin is Beautiful & Immaculate. Needed more time to become more familiar with the area. The girls (friends since 1st grade) both want to return. I'll be planning our next trip soon & so will my buddies who want to return with their families. Thank you Charles !”

“Great property for being close to nature, but difficult to find in the dark. "Cleaners" definitely need to do a better job in order to justify the cleaning fees.”

“This cabin was just what we were looking for! Beautiful views, lots and LOTS of space to run around, easy access to trails and so peaceful. We took the advice of the guide and visited Chet’s Place for dinner and visited the nearby lake. Both were great. My family and I had the most wonderful time and would love to return! 10/10 - would recommend!”

“I booked 3 nights here with my significant other for her birthday. The cabin is very cozy, it has a great atmosphere with great views around the property. The hot tub was a very nice touch along with the board games and outdoor games. 10/10 will come back again! Zero complaints.”

“My husband and I spent the weekend at the Elwood Escape for our wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed the set up of the home and we spent a lot of time in the back yard by the fire pit. We took advantage of the hikes and were able to bring our small dog with us. We also loved that one of the restaurants/bar was across the street from the home and were able to walk to the location. Over all we enjoyed this nice quiet escape from the city.”

“Was a ways getting in but very quiet and nice being out in the woods ! Good communication with owner , a bit disappointed the river not as close as it seemed in pictures .Would stay again !!”

“We stayed several days for a wedding with our son the groom and several of his groomsmen. The house is large and was great for hosting our group. For the size the house is very clean and has anything you need for cooking or enjoying your stay. The weather wasn’t great and we were gone a good bit but the hot tub was a hit and also the basement area which had 4-5 beds and pool table which was nice for the groomsmen not to mention the other 4 bedrooms. Plenty of space for all and is fully stocked……
