Set in the midst of the beautiful Yealm valley and surrounded by a picturesque carp fishing lake, Sunridge Geodome is a luxury self-catering 10-meter Geodesic dome, based in the majestic South Hams region in Devon. (No Pets Sorry).

(Please note there is an 80-metre walk down to the dome from the free parking area. Cars are not allowed in the lake area. Thank you.)

Perched on its own near the fishing lake this bespoke and unique geodesic holiday retreat is bursting at the seams with pure luxury! Here you can relax and be completely surrounded by all that nature has to offer but without sacrificing the mod cons of the home.

Once you step inside this giant, a vast open plan space awaits complete with glorious interiors and high-tech thrills - enough to cater for the most modern of travellers and perfect for that romantic geodesic getaway.

From the luxury squidgy sofas, you can kick back and relax and take in the breathtaking panoramic vistas of the valley, sometimes complete with fluffy sheep, through the huge geodome window. For stargazers just look up in the upper mezzanine den as we have included a skylight for those astronomers amongst you, or look over the glass balcony and take in the incredible height of the geodome!

A fully fitted contemporary German kitchen is within reach for those wanting to cook up a glamping storm and gas fired central heating and a state-of-the-art air-con system (that also heats) which will keep your feet warm while doing so! Sunridge Geodome has even included an interior bathroom module complete with a power shower, sink, towel rail and toilet - so no more running outdoors in the elements when nature makes that call. When it's time to put your head down a comfy bed awaits and 2 single sofa beds upstairs for any extra guests that visit. If the British weather does decide to turn tropical, the air-con system will keep the dome cool on those hot summer days.

The 4k Ultra HD 3D cinema snuggery area hosts a huge 4-meter screen and the latest Dolby Atmos sound system complete with PS4 & XBOX One game consoles. While watching your favourite movies you can curl up on the sofas and gaze out of the windows into the wilderness.

Outside this self-catering geodome in Devon is a private sunken hot tub (exclusive to the geodesic dome) complete with mood lighting providing a perfect spot for relaxing amidst the countryside. The generous decked area is located on the far side of the dome for extra privacy and overlooks the sunken valley which has to be seen to be believed. The fishing lake is stocked with an abundance of carp and can be used exclusively between our Sunridge Geodome, Sunridge Treehouse & Sunridge Lodge guests.

INSIDE SUNRIDGE GEODOME:

The interior is gorgeously modern and vast in size (75 square metres). We've kept this Devon geodome open-plan to encompass the panoramic countryside views of the Yealm valley, 'bring the outside in' as it were. Guests really can't ask for a more picturesque backdrop. If you wish to shut yourself away from the outside world you can close the huge drape curtains that cover the entire geodome bay window.

The double bedroom is both plush and intimate and perfect for a romantic getaway. If you’re a family of 4 or want to escape with another couple, the dizzy heights of the glass-fronted mezzanine den not only provide a bird’s eye view of the floor space and the rolling lush green fields but offers two pull-out comfy chair beds (bedding/towels is not provided for the chair beds). Both the bedroom and mezzanine den are equipped with smart-enabled TVs.

The cinema snuggery with a gigantic 6-seater horseshoe sofa boasts a 4K Ultra HD 3D projector and the latest Dolby Atmos 9.2 sound system that serves a huge 4-metre screen and if you’d rather play games than watch movies - just fire up the Playstation 4 or Xbox One console and get stuck in. We provide you with a selection of movies and games to get you started but feel free to bring your own. The living room is also furnished with a 55” 4K Ultra HD TV. The smart entertainment hub allows you to route each of the entertainment devices (i.e. Xbox One, etc.) to any of the bedroom or living room TV’s.

The contemporary fully stocked German kitchen is the icing on the cake. Complete with an electric oven, electric ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, wine cooler, Nepresso coffee machine and even a compact dishwasher you really won’t have to compromise on preparing your favourite cuisine.

An en-suite interior bathroom module complete with gas-fired power shower, toilet, hand basin and towel rail takes away any concerns of embracing the elements and making a mad dash to 'spend a penny'.

Gas-fired central heating and high-end air-con throughout the interior will only add to the dramatic contrast to the outside atmosphere - and will keep you warm (or cool) wherever you are.

Free WIFI means you can hook up to the modern world from anywhere in the geodome (or the surrounding decked area) while absorbing the dramatic views.

Stargazers will be delighted to know we have included an expansive skylight which can be covered over when not in use. Devon is renowned for its unspoilt night sky making this a real treat for the astronomers amongst you.

OUTSIDE SUNRIDGE GEODOME:

The geodome has a generous elevated decked area complete with a picnic table and bench seating together with a gas-fired barbi (gas provided, but must be kept in its secure location at a distance from the geodome). This overlooks the glorious unspoilt Yealm valley and serves as a dramatic backdrop to your evening dining. As dust descends take your place on the sofa and prepare yourself for the flight of the bats.

The apex of luxury comes in the form of the sunken private hot tub which, as the sun sets, seems to glow like a jewel in the countryside surroundings. Fitted with numerous jets, modulated temperature control and bespoke mood lighting all you have to do is lie back amidst the bubbles and let your cares dissolve into the air with the vapours. It is an experience guaranteed to soothe even the most fretful soul. The hot tub is exclusive to our geodome guests so no sharing is necessary! All we ask is that you bring your own old towels for the hot tub as the sanitiser can discolour the provided towels in the bathrooms. Thank you.

The Sunridge GeoDome standard holiday week is from Saturday to Saturday (this can sometimes be flexible).

Short breaks are available, depending on the season, with a minimum of a 2/3 night stay. 3 nights typically over weekends.
