Philippe was a welcoming and wonderful host. Even though we arrived a little later than planned, Philippe took the time to show us on the map where to go for dinner, showed us our room and the facilities and didn’t rush us in anyway. The room was lovely and very well appointed. The garden was magnificent full of plants and old fashion roses that smelled of proper roses. The breakfast was a work of art, delicious and plentiful. The town centre is about 10/15 minutes walk from the house, via the foot bridge over the river. We only stayed one night but we would not hesitate staying at Clos du Moulin again and would certainly recommend staying there.

For a reasonable B and B this is superb.The breakfast is really nice and the owner very friendly.If you are going to Potier this is a must .will use again on return journey.Very quiet and a short walk to city

Great host, great stay

Philippe is a wonderful host and made this stay memorable. From assisting with car parking to sharing local history and preparing delicious breakfast—everything was top notch. Excellent tranquil location on the river bank within 10 minute walk to historic city center.

The best place to stay in Poitiers

It was our first experience of staying in a B&B and it was excellent. The breakfast was like a cordon bleu restaurant and fit for kings. The room was lovely. Large and very comfortable. The decor of the building was beautifully done. It is a 15 min walk to the centre across the river. Philippe was extremely generous with his time and the efforts he puts into providing an excellent service. His English is also extremely good.

Highly recommended.

Lovely property and an excellent room. Very clean, well furnished, very comfortable. The breakfast in the garden was wonderful, prepared individually by the owner and included edible flowers and herbs from his garden. The off site parking was very close by and was free. The owner was so welcoming and had prepared a lemon and herb infused drink to welcome us. Really lovely stay and a shame we only had time for one night.

Hidden gem!

Absolutely charming place run by an amazing host. Philippe’s hospitality is second to none. We appreciated all the small details that just make you realize how much he cares for his guests. This renovated historic house has so much to offer and is just a short walk from the old town. Breakfast in the garden was the highlight - all local, seasonal produce with some lovely touches (like the edible flowers and herbs from the very same garden). We’re vegan and Philippe accommodated without a problem. This is THE place to stay in Poitiers, without a doubt, very highly recommend it!

A découvrir, tellement différent !

Cet hôtel n'est pas commun. On y est presque comme invité par le propriétaire à résider chez lui. Dans un cadre très original, à deux pas du centre ville, on y passe un moment bucolique et paisible. Les chambres sont comme à la maison, et le petit déjeuner savoureux, préparé avec soin, offre une variété de produits soigneusement préparés. A privilégier si vous souhaitez passer un bon moment.
