The Inn at Shasta Lake

"I have traveled quite a bit in my 65 years and this is truly one of the nicest places that I have ever been to. The location is soooo convenient--just a turn or two and you can be on the freeway. But even though it has a close proximity to traffic, we were far enough away not to be bothered by noise. Our room was delightful! It was like a suite with a bathroom almost bigger than my first apartment! We also had a little seating area outside where I sat and read my book, drank a glass of wine and watched the deer in the yard. For breakfast you fill out a paper with lots of choices and submit it the night before. It was served to each individual room in a basket tray and was so delicious!! Nothing was too much trouble! There was plenty of parking and we never felt crowded or rushed. I highly recommend this inn for anyone going to Mt. Shasta, Lake Shasta or any other place in-between!"

"Great beds. Spotless bathroom. Paint chipped all over bedroom. Outside was so bad it put me off and I was scared about what the inside of the room would look like. Dead flowers in spots. Dirty. Doors and windows from the outside very creepy. Linens spotless. Well dusted. But no way was this a 9/10 which the reviews were saying. Maybe it’s compared with what else might be in Dunsmuir? And the pictures aren’t close to what it actually is. For a night, okay."

"Room 4 was clean, bedding was clean. There as a kitchenette! We didn’t know. Shower was tight but we said we’d stay there again. Front desk lady was very sweet & friendly. We got there a little after 10 she was just closing up. Glad we didn’t miss her."

"Great location, close to multiple boat launches on Lake Shasta. Kayaking or paddle boarding is best at Whiskeytown Lake. Pool was much appreciated with the sunny hot temperatures (100). Blackstone grill was the cooks favorite. Perfect destination location."

"Everything was great just a bit small for 6-7 people as far as kitchen utility but a very charming cabin with everything that was needed in the supply closet. There is only a twin bunk bed and a double bed in one of the rooms but the listing says there are two twins in that one room in addition to the full size bed. That might have been typed in error though. It still sleeps seven people comfortably with the sofa bed pullout. The train passes by pretty regularly but I believe that's just an area where trains pass by anyway. If you don't mind it, you'll be fine! It's not more than a couple times a day."

"Stunning views inside and out! This home was a perfect serene getaway for our family of 5. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely outdoor area for stargazing and enjoying the summer morning. Gorgeous sunset views from the living room and dining areas. Wonderful, peaceful place."
