We spent one night at the hotel as it was near a family gathering in the village. We were pleased with our room and the welcome we received at reception. Breakfast was plentiful and we would return.

We only stayed one night here to break our journey south, but would be more than happy to stay here again. Lovely good sized room with air conditioning which was great as it was 35C. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ate in the Jacobite restaurant which had a good selection of meals on offer. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning with plenty of choices available.

Great value and good quality throughout. Room was a good size, well equipped and clean. Plentiful parking and gardens were immaculate. Restaurant was more of a pub style theme and good value with a good selection for breakfast for the breakfast serving.

This is an amzing gem of a hotel. I would 100% recommend it to anyone travelling North, just off the A1 between Doncaster and Pontefract. Really friendly staff and a brilliant room - excellent value for money too with an amzing restaurant. Breakfast was faultless too.

Very friendly, helpful staff made our stay. Breakfast good. Some accessibility issues but it is an old property. Our stay in a Superior suite suited out needs, was quiet and comfortable. Countryside setting but close to local towns and places of interest.

Looks good on the outside, but once inside the room it is very dated and dark. Room cleanliness was poor, long term dust in places. Shower head needs a good scrubbing. The food in the restaurant was very good, as was the breakfasts. On our 2nd night there was a wedding on with a late disco. Fortunately we couldn't hear the music in the room. However we were woken at 1.00 am by groups of people going to their rooms making lots of noise. We won't be back.
