Friendly staff. The room was good size, huge tv, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. All amenities available - fan, air con unit, iron, tea/coffee tray. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the best that I have had in any of the overnight hotels that I have stayed in. Fabulous, will definitely return if I need to stay in the area.

Arrived late, staff in the bar couldn't do enough to make sure I got an evening meal before the kitchen closed. Room was great, spacious and had everything required for an overnight stay. Bathroom was lovely too. Overall the stay was great and would go back for sure.

Lovely independent hotel , ideally situated just off A1 for stop off stay ,great breakfast and welcome air conditioning . Good pub restaurant for evening meal . Great service it was nice to see local staff taking a pride in their job .

Brilliant stay - complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. We had dinner and breakfast, both were amazing. Thank you very much! Our only wish was we had another night and more time to enjoy the scenic location.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. Great evening meal selection and so many options for breakfast. The food has all been freshly cooked with high quality ingredients. Comfortable and cool rooms, a refreshing business trip!

Nice building with good grounds & easy access. Check-in was quick & efficient. Didn't seem enough staff on the bar for evening, dinner & drinks were relatively slow service. Similar for breakfast, this was closed until exactly the minuel of opening time & then when allowed in all the covered goods, fruit, etc. was still under plastic, coffee machine was not turned on so had to wait for that as well. Server seemed somewhat interested but the food itself was nice.

I have stayied here many times and enjoy the hotel. Lovely all year round. Amazing in summer for the voews and walks. Lovely food, reasonable price. The breakfast is amazing with proper coffee. I will be staying aloy more in the future and highly recammend. Every element is 10/10. The staff are great and nothing is too much. People travel to the hotel for their food so you will always be treated to a great feast at a great price with a lovely peaceful hotel to rest you head for the next day!

A real golden find

Stayed again in this lovely hotel. Was in a room in the main building at the front, it was massive and has everything you need. Staff very helpful and so polite. Restaurant is great for breakfast and evening meals. My goto hotel when in the area.

Lovely hotel and service

This was a great stay. I was in one of the (possibly) new suites which was a very good standard, set over two floors. My only gripe was that the bed was downstairs and the bathroom was upstairs so it's a bit of a trek, especially during the night 😒 Food from the pub attached to the hotel was great, and lots of it, served really promptly. It's hard to fault anything overall and I would definitely stay again, but probably in a standard room!

Lovely stay

Lovely clean, comfortable, gorgeous room. Very very quiet at night. The wedding we attened was a late finish and we were worried the nouse would carry upstairs but it didnt. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best we'd ever had in a hotel.

Funeral tea

We stayed here after a family funeral tea which was arranged so well by the staff at Rogerthorpe. Everything was lovely, from the food to the professionalism on such an emotional day. We filled the room which was so very well presented and the whole event went perfectly. The building itself and the grounds are amazing. The quality of service was outstanding. Thank you to everyone involved. I would highly recommend a visit and a stay here.
