“Stayed one night while traveling home from vacation. The hotel was not dirty, but it also didn’t feel especially clean or well-maintained. The room had a damp, musty smell and felt humid/sticky during our stay. The biggest issue was noise. We could hear vehicles revving engines and driving by throughout the night, which made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. We heard screams from outside. The beds were quite firm and uncomfortable, and while the shower had strong water pressure, it was……

“I would stay away from this property. The room was dirty, moldy, and pest ridden. The continental breakfast was non-existent. The staff was surly and unhelpful. The room was dirty. The counter tops had not been cleaned and had a greasy sheen on them. There was hair underneath the mattress and around the floor of the beds. I doubt they had used a clean rag or a working vacuum cleaner when they "cleaned" the room. The room was moldy. There was a strong odor fungus through out the room. The air……

“Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff efficient. Didn't try the breakfast with A Crackerbarrel next door. Undergoing renovation. Not a major problem but the ceiling above shower had been repaired, but not repainted.”

“This IS NOT a family friendly property. The casino was not inviting. No pool, rooms (we had 2) were very small. Beds were standard size not queen or king size making it uncomfortable for 2 people to sleep in one bed. The bathroom was very small only a tub/shower and a toilet. Hard to turn around in. Beds were comfortable but we would not stay again.”

“I had such a wonderful time at the Baer House! LaTonya, the house manager, treated me like royalty--and a good friend. The home is magnificent and not just cared for but loved. I would highly recommend staying here. It surpassed my expectations! Thank you, everyone, for making me feel at home.”

“Our room was so dirty. Baseboards were gross. Black mold in the bathroom. Floor turned out feet black. Couch had rips in the fabric. Cowling was crumbling around air vents. Super close to a busy road. Had to climb 3 flights of steep stairs to get to our room. The whole place is a safety violation. And so dirty!!! We were catfished for sure. Also, in a shady part of town. This place has fencing but not a locked gate system.”

“Nice old place in decent shape. The breakfasts were wonderful. Not having someone there, other than the lady who came in to cook and serve breakfast, was somewhat of a negative, as we would have liked to ask questions, especially in the evenings, about places to eat and things to do. Also, a bathtub/shower, with no really hard-mounted grab bars, is not really good for seniors”
