"If you want quiet and relaxing this is for you, seclusion and privacy. Great hosts. Don’t go if you’re looking for a resort experience. This is for getting away and enjoying each other with the outside locked away for a few days. "

"The view from this location is stunning and the beach is beautiful. A few things I wish we would have know before we went: 1. When we got to the house their was no fresh water. Be sure you pick up a 5 gallon jug of water before you come to the home. 2. Due to high rains the roads were flooded so it took as quite a while to get to and from the grocery store. The location is remote so you don't want to have a flat tire. Be careful of the potholes. 3. A.J.'s convenience is closer than Gilberts...

"This is the second year we have stayed at the property. Rainer was very quick to reply on questions and very accommodating. The property is spacious, well equipped, and very clean. The views are stunning and the beach is great. The snorkeling right out the front of the property is great with lots of fish and other sea creatures. I can't wait to go back!"

That said, the host was responsive and assured us these concerns would be addressed with the property manager."

"An absolutly perfect / beautiful property in paradise! Carl and his staff were very welcoming and we felt like family visiting. The food at the resort was amazing. Waking up and hanging out of the beach or paddleboarding ... paradise!"

"My wife and I had the most amazing time celebrating my 50th. Great to reconnect without the kids. I over packed yet again and I didn’t pack much as we never saw another person unless we asked them to come. Just give them the heads up if you like to be secluded and they are happy to oblige. "

Ocean View Coral - Private Beach Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The ocean view is the trump card of Ocean View Coral. The living area (kitchen, dining table comfy seating) all share an unobstructed view of powder white sand beach, gorgeous blue water dotted with coral formations and palm trees and sea grass along the sand dunes. The expansive ocean facing deck runs the full width of the villa and can be accessed from the 2 spacious ensuite bedrooms as well as the living area. Another plus is the restaurant at Greenwood Resort which is a 20 minute walk along the beach or 5 minute drive. We enjoyed several dinners there and took a great snorkel trip with Antoine.The villa is well equipped and well maintained, although it needs a generator. We were without power 2 mornings, which meant no water from the taps. I would advise arranging with Lana the property manager to have the villa pre-stocked with groceries and water or shop in New Bight immediately when you land. Driving is a challenge due to road conditions. But the endless beach, beautiful ocean and stunning sunrises in front of Ocean View Coral and the beautiful people of Cat Island made our trip unforgettable."
