First timers to Port Lavaca

We had an amazing stay! The house was clean and bed was comfortable. House had all amenities and Pier fishing was fun l.we caught some trout and a giant redfish (or something) that pulled the line. We def want to go back.

Perfect Get Away

We had a great time. Pier was perfect, weather not so much. Windy and rough but we were still able to catch a ton of fish. The sheets on the queen bed were the softest best smelling sheets I have ever slept on. House had everything you could want. Host was very responsive when asked questions. Will definitely be back.

So Peaceful - A Quiet Place to Recharge

Lovely, quiet cottage out in the country sitting on the bay - a wonderful place to listen to the waves and watch the sun rise. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to people looking for peace and quiet.

We had a great mini vacation and we will definitely be back.

We fished on the pier day / night and awesome fishing at night with the lights. The biggest catch was a black drum off the pier about 40 pounds and lots of speckle trout, gaftop, whitey, sand-trout, red fish, black drum in the area. We had a blast and you have a great set-up. The Bueno Family 💕

Labor Day Weekend Getaway

Our stay was great, fishing and relaxing was the key to our weekend getaway. This house had everything you needed & wanted except for bed in the main bedroom and the shower were alittle small. Living room and kitchen had plenty of room to move around in. The patio was a nice place to take a nap and relax; the fishing pier was great. The speckled trout and drum were delicious, the red fish would have been perfect but it got away. Thank you for everything.

Fun & relaxing experience

The reviews are correct, just bring your groceries, they do provide everything. We stayed with our two teens and went on this vacation as a fishing vacation. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in. The house is cozy and the porch was nice. A couple of showers moved through and it was nice to be able to sit under there and not get wet and still enjoy the view. The pier was awesome to have and really where we spent most of our time. We caught Black drum, sheepshead, two sharks, two gars, hardheads, gafftop, ladyfish and a sting ray. Our only caveat to the property was the shower was small, it is possible to shower but very tight. Was that a deal breaker, absolutely not and we would definitely not hesitate to stay again even knowing that, but just wanted to make anyone reading this aware. In addition, Port Lavaca is not far, so we were able to get bait and stop by HEB for some additional groceries. Again it was a great stay and experience and we would definitely do it again! The host was responsive and nice and we had no issues while there to contact her further.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The house was impeccably clean and provided a stunning view that made each day a joy. It was well-equipped with all the essentials I needed, making my stay comfortable and convenient. One of the highlights was the private fishing pier. It offered a great spot to relax and enjoy some fishing, which was a fantastic addition to my stay. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway. I would love to come back in November! My teenage kids loved it!

Quiet Bayfront stay

The private pier was awesome, we used it mostly for fishing but it was also nice for just relaxing. We caught trout, catfish, and alligator gar. A very quiet and friendly neighborhood. We hope to return. Hosts were very nice to work with.

Fishing Paradise

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. So peaceful and relaxing. The home is fully equipped with everything. I mean everything. Seriously, just bring your groceries. The pier is where we spent most of our time. Fishing was our goal and that is exactly what we did. The weather was a bit windy but we got our fair share of trout, catfish, groupers, and three stingrays. The stingrays were a first for us and we couldn’t believe it. The neighborhood is mostly permanent residents and everyone was so friendly. We did drive over to Port Lavaca for lunch one of the days. Scully’s was an absolute pleasure. The fish tacos are Heaven. We would love to visit again. Thanks for a great Anniversary Trip.

Exceptional Bayfront Stay

This bayfront home was everything we needed and expected! The kids had a blast fishing off the lighted pier and caught several species of fish including black drum, trout, lady fish and even a stingray. The house was cozy and felt very homey. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again next time we are in the area. Leslie was a wonderful host and was very easy to communicate with. Thanks Leslie for having us at your Bayfront oasis!!
