Overpriced and poorly maintained
We were really looking forward to our stay in Port Macquarie however this property fell very short of our expectations. The house was huge and perfect for a large family of our size however it was very poorly maintained and therefore not worth the price we paid at all. The property didnt appear to have been cleaned properly prior to our arrival as there were cobwebs and spiders in the bedrooms, the bath was filthy, there were dirty plates and utensils in the kitchen cupboards and the carpets did not appear to have been vacuumed. Aswell as this, the blinds in the media room and one of the bedrooms were broken so I couldn't even block out light for my baby to sleep. There were not enough towels put out for the number of guests nor were there even hand towels in the bathroom (they were in a laundry cupboard downstairs however we had to go hunting for them). There were no basic amendments such as olive oil, salt, pepper, dishwashing liquid or even hand soap in the bathroom. I reached out to our host Shona about a large number of these items on day one of our stay however was met wish put back or just simply ignored. e.g. her response to their being no hand soap in the bathroom was "we do not provide hand soap" (then why was there hand soap in the bathroom with about 2 pumps left - either remove it if you don't intend to supply hand soap or refill it). I will not be staying at this property again.
