“Lovely hotel, very modern and clean. All the staff we encountered during our stay were polite and friendly. Only reason for giving a four star review was due to the fact that I had contacted the hotel prior to booking for a general query regarding room type and the lady I spoke to noted my query along with contact details (email and mobile number) and said she would have to find out the answer and get back to me.. I didnt receive a response. I felt this was quite poor as I refrained from booking……

“Cheapest place to stay in Oxford, I only really needed a hotel to get ready in and sleep. The initial room they tried to give us was in a different building, and it was literally just a bedroom in someone’s grotty house - stank of smoke and not safe! Do not book the room with the shared bathroom. The room we moved to was acceptable given the cost (albeit incredibly dated and dirty), but that is about it.”

“Great England experience in a 1000 year old inn. Central and authentic. Loved the room over the entrance with views all around. Didn’t mind banging my head on the door frame too much, but I am 5’7”! Great pub downstairs. Not modern but that is what we were looking for.”

“Brilliant stay, check in was quick and smooth. Show to our rooms which were clean and spacious with large king bed. Staff were excellent during the stay and even did us a meal which wasn't on the recently updated menu. Breakfast freshly cooked and again adapted the choice for my colleague. ”
