Very conveniently located hotel, only a few blocks away to the Harbour Area where you can find nice international bar & food restaurants and shops and live music all facing the ocean. On the other side of the coast you can enjoy watching Ela Beach and jogging during daytime hours. The hotel has two good restaurants and a great buffet breakfast. The staff is totally friendly and kind.

Crown hotel meets the standard of comfort for a traveller and it comes at a most cost effective way, compared to its competitors. With a functional central air conditioning system, staff are friendly and smiling with readiness to support and the ambience is clean and amazing in every sense. I'd recommend this hotel any day, any time to anyone in need of where to stay in NCD.

The first room that we were put in had a broken lampshade, the safe didn’t work, the shower water went from boiling hot to cold with no middle ground, but the dealbreaker was that the door wouldn’t lock when we left. It could be opened from the outside. Also, the room was really cold and the thermostat only controlled the fan and not the temperature. After some waiting, they eventually moved us to another room that was better. The hot/cold shower issue was marginally better, but the other issues were resolved. In general though, the level of maintenance was not as good as other hotel options in the area that we have stayed at. We chose this hotel because of its location. We would probably choose a different hotel in the future and just drive/taxi as needed.

The staff were fabulous; very helpful and friendly, especially the cleaning staff and security guards (I met several, and they were wonderful and helpful). The room was a good size. It was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of TV channels. It was nice to swim in the pool. Overall, it was a really comfortable stay. The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown, with good security It is an older property, but it is maintained quite well. The free airport shuttle is fantastic. I recommend if staying in Port Moresby.

Very good value and close to APEC Haus. Hotel staff were willing to drive me there. Airport shuttle service also was quite useful, although pick up instructions could have been more clear.

The Crown has comfortable and clean rooms and is safe. There’s good food in the restaurant and it is reasonably priced. The staff is accommodating and will work with you to help you if you have any problems. Great place to stay!

Would recommend this hotel

A restful stay during PNG travels. Room, bed, air conditioning were great. Shuttle service from airport was so helpful. Some confusion when ordering room service but all sorted out. A few food options within walking distance. Pool was amazingly perfect. Foot massage was divine. I would recommend this hotel.
