“Check in was smooth. Richard resides onsite and was very pleasant. The house had everything that was described in the listing. It was a short walk to the track.”

Enough room for everyone to enjoy themselves. The outside deck has a grill ... and the view of the small creek is great. We are coming back!”

“Directly on the lake, you can walk out onto your own private peninsula, fish (I caught two bass in ten minutes), or just enjoy the lounge chairs or couples swing while gazing at the pristine lake or soaking up the fire we made in the brand new fire pit. We slept with the windows open and listened to the waves lapping against the shore right outside. This place was amazing. “Property is very nice and comfortable, and very nicely decorated. The bedrooms had a lot of space, the beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were very retro, but stately (I love retro style!). Lots of sunshine from the windows. Kitchen is small, but adequate. The front porch was very nice and relaxing - I wish I could’ve enjoyed it longer. I really have no complaints except that I didn’t book a longer stay! I would love to come back to it and stay longer!”

Clean, roomy, well stocked kitchen, and fun water craft to use on the river. It’s close to other attractions too. David, the host, was available if we needed anything. I will miss greeting the ducks each morning while sipping my coffee by the river.”

“My husband, daughter, dog and I stayed at Pete's property for the Adirondack Balloon Festival and had a great time! The whole family, including Belle the dog, were super friendly and welcoming, chatting with us, showing us around the property and even hand delivered a half dozen fresh eggs from their chickens! The property is super fun-landing somewhere between a small farm and nature compound kind of feel. We were only there a couple days and spent the majority of the time out and about because……

“The location is very nice on a small clean lake. The deck overlooking the lake is the best feature of the cabin. The kitchen counter space is tiny and made meal prep for a group of 5 women difficult. The gas grill should have a cover to protect it from the rain and the automatic starter did not work. We did find a lighter to start it. The bathroom is very far from the bedrooms which are upstairs which was an issue for some of us at night. Also we needed to use the sleeper sofas in the living……

“Enjoyed our stay in Stillwater, being over by the lake was a nice change from downtown Saratoga. Short ride to horse track and SPAC. Host was great, place was as described. Enjoyed our morning coffee in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!”
