“House was very clean and owners seemed kind and thoughtful. They was a bottle of wine waiting for us at arrival. Beds and linens were very comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The view from the balcony is splendid with cozy outdoor furniture and an area for yoga or meditation. We just found the decor to be a little schizophrenic and overwhelming. This is a great place for two adults and a couple of kids to stay. If two couples are going, they would need to be very comfortable……

“My husband and adult son stayed here for a Hudson Valley holiday. This place is truly perfect for 2 people for a lovely getaway. It is near hiking trails, some breweries/orchards and while we didn’t go to dinner, there were restaurants around as well. The house was as described, spacious and had a lot to offer. “Our stay couldn't have been better! We're two friends who were celebrating our birthdays and were here for a relaxing week of vacation. The cottage itself, the amenities, host, and location were all great. It's tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with lovely views of the river, five minutes away from Kingston (where we saw a concert at the Ulster Performing Arts Center, had a top-notch dinner at The Brickmen, and shopped at the vinyl stores). We arrived in rain and had sun the next two days but wood was wet, and could not locate any bagged firewood in Rhinebeck, so could not……

“This house is definitely secluded, so if you like privacy, and we do, this is the place for you. The house is well stocked with breakfast food, and food for guests is well marked. House is spotless. Bed is comfortable. I had a long phone conversation with Lisa and she was friendly and honest about what to expect. It's a short drive to the sights in the Hudson Valley. The only caution is the gravel driveway leading to the house is long and rough.”

“The cabin was perfect... almost. Check in was easy and the place is truly surrounded by trails and climbing. The bunk beds are in a room off the back of the house and it was cold. The back doors didn't feel very secure. There were also a lot of lady bugs. The fireplace had a hard-to-use controller and smelled of gas when we used it. “This is a cozy property in a very rural setting. The host is extremely responsive and very thorough. It is quiet and private. The furniture and bed are very comfortable. The wood burning stove is a pellet stove which provides enough heat to take the edge off. The hot tub could comfortably fit 4 people. The Village of Cold Spring is less than 10 minutes away, as is the Interstate 84 bridge across the Hudson. If you want to make your own food, bring it. There is no grocery store nearby.”
