Inside, a spacious and open kitchen/living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and full laundry. This property is just steps away from great restaurants, bars and a marina for your convenience. Over night boat slips are available at two locations within walking distance.
The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with essential kitchenware, including plates, glasses, and silverware. You'll also find all the necessary pots, pans, cookware, and utensils to ensure a comfortable stay. Appliances include a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. Additional items such as a bottle opener, corkscrew, dish soap, dish towels, and laundry amenities (with detergent) are also provided.
There is plenty of private parking on site that can easily accommodate up to 4 vehicles.
This vacation home is an ideal base for exploring the driftless area, perfect for family gatherings, romantic getaways, or weekends with friends, with or without children. The area offers a wealth of outdoor activities, including boating, recreational pursuits, hunting, fishing, and visiting historical landmarks. Notable sites include Villa Louis, Fort Crawford Museum, and Dousman House, all located on the scenic island by the Mississippi River. Nearby parks such as Pikes Peak State Park, Effigy Mounds, and Wyalusing State Park provide excellent hiking opportunities.
Spend a day on the river, tour downtown shops, visit historic sites, parks, restaurants, and nightlife venues. Fall brings with it a spectacular display of color as the beautiful foliage casts its' reflection on the calm waters below. The views are breathtaking to say the least! While visiting one of the local apple orchards, be sure to hop on a scenic hayride through the colorful bluffs! Golf enthusiasts can tee off at one of the two courses within 8 miles: Prairie du Chien Country Club's 18-hole course or Barnyard 9's par 3 nine-hole course. Summer visitors can enjoy live bands at downtown bars and restaurants or attend Music in the Park on Thursday nights for live music along the river.
