"A beautiful, spacious property - well managed and mostly very clean considering it’s a place that accepts pets. Small but very well-maintained pool - great for a quick dip to cool off in September heat. Elegant decor but lots of traditional charm too… Well equipped for our party of five adults. A very friendly host - on hand but discreet - and a wealth of local information on offer from owners. The location is amazing and the surrounding area very beautiful - trains to Lake Bled from the tiny un-manned station opposite - slightly scary roads, but only what you’d expect from a rural property in a semi-mountainous area. Great wildlife and a beautiful waterfall a shortish walk from the house. No hesitation in recommending!"

"The house itself is large and spacious and perfect for larger gatherings. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The kids really enjoyed the park being next-door.The village itself is quiet and about 20 minutes from town up a steep and winding mountain road. Be sure to buy supplies before you reach the property. Although there is a dishwasher and laundry facilities, you will need to bring your own hand soap, dish and laundry detergent, paper towels, and other basics your group may need, as these are not provided. Also make sure to bring sufficient cash to pay the tourist tax, which will be collected upon check-in.It was unusually hot during our stay, and there were only three fans for five bedrooms. There is also a musty smell and areas of the walls that are wet and bubbling paint. Several of us experienced allergy-like symptoms while in the house. Overall few issues with the property, however. The major issue was with the owner. One of our small children had an accident in the bed the last night, and we checked out without knowing. The owner was understandably upset - we were mortified and apologized profusely. We felt terrible and would never have left that intentionally. It was an unpleasant and unfortunate incident, but he was rude and nasty towards us. It ended the stay on a sour note when it could have been amicable. "
