「We paid months ahead as with many other accommodations, which we've never had any issues with. This place was hard to find so we called to clarify directions, and we were told if we didn't have a 4x4 that it wasn't possible to get to (which was NOT mentioned on the booking site on Expedia) We were left to scramble and find a place to stay last minute which was inconvenient and cost a lot more. We were also informed we would be given the money back but months later we still haven't seen it. 」

「If you are going to visit the Osa Peninsula, this is a great place to stay. We loved the small casita with abundant wildlife. We are backpackers and RVers, so bringing all our provisions was no problem for us. You’ll have two miles of black sand beaches almost to yourself. A sea turtle sanctuary, more monkeys and macaws than you can count. Beto, who maintains the property, is an added treasure. We feel like we made a friend. We can’t wait to come back. 」

「We enjoyed our stay at Campo Azul. It is a little bit out of town, but it was quiet and very safe. Would recommend a 4x4 to get around. Emanuel was fantastic to work with and helped me set up several activities. I recommend them all - ziplining with 100% Aventura, nature walk at the Monteverde Cloud Forest, night walk at Refugio, and the waterfall hike at El Tigre (strenuous, but worth it).
