very sweet place. we were a family of 9 and stayed in 2 large cabins. breakfast was wonderful. dinner was also great. we saw the northern lights just as in the photos!
Will definitely come back! The location is great for stargazing and watching aurora. Access to hot tub with the cold plunge was perfect. Great selection of breakfast!
Excellent cozy little cottage on the river. Breakfast was great too, nothing short of spectacular. Northern lights, winding river, delicious food, what else could you possibly want?
This hotel was amazing. The small cabins were so comfy and clean. Highly recommend. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and well worth the price as well.
Lovely hotel in the countryside. Good location for exploring South Iceland. Food for breakfast ands dinner was delicious. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay there again
We loved staying at Hotel Laekur. We loved having breakfast included, especially the overnight oats-yum! The room was spacious and clean and the heated bathroom floors were a bonus.
We arrived late, check-in was very easy, the cottage was adorable. View was lovely. Breakfast outstanding. My only regret is that we were on the Ring Road family vacation - and couldn't stay longer. Highly recommend.
We loved our stay! The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were wonderful and the breakfast was amazing! I’m celiac and dairy free and there were many great choices : fresh fruit, gluten free crackers, eggs, veggies, oat milk. I So appreciated the effort they put in to accommodate people with dietary restrictions. Thank you!
Beautiful views! We went in hopes to experience the aurora borealis (we had two nights previous luckily) even in their absence this place lacked no picturest moments. Horses in the field 10m away, the moon rising, and a peaceful time spent in the hot tub and sauna were beyond my hopes.. safe and friendly
Hotel staff greeted us upon arrival- extremely friendly. Dinner was fresh and outstanding- had the artic char. Room was comfortable and very clean. Property was beautiful to walk around.
The 2 bedroom cottage was perfect for my family of 3. The cottage was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the stream and countryside. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the hotel.
I loved the accessible remoteness of the property. The north-facing cottages are really cute. Food and drinks were so tasty. Hot tub was *very hot (not recommended for little ones). The room was ample enough for two. I would definitely stay here again.
