“The villa was in a private garden with a wall for security and parking inside the wall. A suggestion for improvement would be to incrrase the water pressure for the outside showers as it was difficult to wash my hair in the weak stream of water. Also a bigger, more prominent sign to show where the villa is located. There was a big tree stump at the corner where it caused a hazard when returning to the villa after dark with limited lighting. “The Host(s) Mary and Jose are amazing and will make sure you have everything you need and will go the extra mile during your stay: Food Delivery, Ice Delivery, keep house clean ect.....Understand this....if you are going to stay here....you will need a Rental Car if you plan on seeing anything! Nearest town is Bacalar 30 minutes away! There is Nothing near you. The house pictures and accommodations are exactly what is portrayed! Beautiful and very relaxing!!!! “Buena vista is about 30 minutes from bacalar town so not an ideal location. The house is remote and in the jungle , very rough terrain getting in there Read all the small print , the house is only enclosed from the elements in the 2 bedrooms , the rest ( which is essentially just a tiny outdoor kitchen , no living room at all ) is totally open to the elements and the MOSQUITOES!!! We arrived to check in and were eaten alive in 5 minutes. There were also many wasps , a few in the bedroom. We left……

“This place is beautiful and modern! Surrounded by natural beauty, close to the lagoon and the town of Bacalar. We loved staying here, in fact we booked 4 additional nights we loved it so much! Highly recommend, the Host was super friendly and accommodating! ”
