「The house was clean. We had plenty of linens. It was easy to find. Appreciated that our car could be parked off the street and into the driveway. We were traveling with a dog 🐕. Backyard was chain linked fenced which was great in leaving the dog outside off leash. We didn't find pots or pans or utensils in kitchen to do "food prep". There were baking sheets for heating frozen/already prepared food items in the oven or the microwave. Mike was easy to work with and communicate with.」

「The house is very well maintained and cared for, the story and its relation to preserving R66 history is wonderful. The hosts were flexible with check-in timing, there is plenty of space for parking and the front porch swing adds a great vibe. Overall, a reasonably priced and comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend.」

「Nice cozy bungalow in convenient location to historic restaurant and good bakery. Easy check in and very friendly and helpful host. Pet friendly with fenced back yard. Had all amenities with well stocked kitchen. Had to wash a few glasses and coffee carafe needed cleaning but was a good stay!」

「The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.」

「Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.」

「We were able to return to stay a few more days, and the cabin work perfectly for us. The kitchen has everything you need and all of the cookware was cleaned in great condition. The fridge, oven and dishwasher looked like they were brand new and everything worked exactly as expected. The bathroom has a tub which has a large "rain" type of shower head and there is plenty of hot water.
