「The Cary Hotel is my favorite place in Placerville. It's beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. The staff just couldn't be nicer. My favorite part is the little bits of historical knowledge all over the place.」

「The room is just for sleeping and there is no drawer for clothes hangers. When asked, the office staff said that they don't provide any. So there is no cup for brushing teeth and no hot water kettle for making coffee. It is very simple and the charges are not cheap. The only advantage is that it is very convenient near the shopping mall.」

「The property is conveniently located for visiting Placerville area. It's 10 minutes away from Red Hawk casino - a lot cheaper than staying Red Hawk hotel for you gamblers. The building itself is a bit worn from age but overall clean and maintained well. Included breakfast is fine - standard American affairs - bottomless coffee help waking me up and from spending money on Starbucks. The dining area (about half a dozen tables) can get crowded during morning rush hours so pick your time...

「Check in was ok, we had a late check in at 12:40 am and front desk sat on her phone for a couple of minutes before I had to get her attention. The building had a horrible smell. We were not able to use the pool because a duck was in it. Floor was very dirty in the room. Breakfast food was not good, scrambled eggs had a rubbery texture and horrible taste, no non dairy milk offered, coffee dispenser served horrible tasting coffee. Not sure how this hotel received a “Good” status on Expedia.」

「The hotel runs government assistance program and hosting very interesting unhygenic clientele, which wondering the corridors and seats in the lobby, that you will not usually expect.」
