A perfect place for our family to gather.
We needed a place last minute for our dad and grandpa’s funeral. This was a perfect place for us to all be together. The kids had a great time in the gym and the adults could be together in a different room. The kitchen and cafeteria was awesome! Such a blessing for what we needed!

Fun place
Really cool old school. Big open space for kids to play and lots of room for sleeping and socializing. Nothing like it!! Lots of cool stuff to do in the area. We will return!

We held our family reunion at The Old School. There was plenty of room for everyone. The gym was active during all waking hours. (And plenty or bathrooms). Loved the location for a lot of great outdoor activities.

Family Fun
The well stocked gym was the highlight of our family reunion. The beds were really comfortable. There were a few maintenance issues (not all ovens worked, doors were difficult to lock, projector was difficult to work) but the owners were responsive and helpful.

Just our Reunion Speed
The basketball court was used almost continuously for basketball, volleyball, devotionals, "entertainment night." The beds were new and great. For our close family, this space couldn't have given a better experience. Close enough to all the cool stuff. LOVED BYU-I Ropes course... do that for sure!! Floated rivers, visited West Yellowstone, Bear World and Lava Hot Springs. Thanks for the great space!!!

Plenty of room for fun
We were looking for a space with room for 20-25 people ranging from age 5 to 65. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time using the gym throughout the day, and watching movies on the big screen every night. We wanted a place that also had air conditioning so we could sleep well at night. When one of the air conditioners quit working the owners came immediately and took care of it. There were plenty of bathrooms and comfy beds, couches, chairs and tables for all of our needs. They gym was wonderful for the kids to run and play even when it was super hot out. One of the essential refrigerators was not working properly and they were unable to take care of it because of part unavailability. This place is centrally located to access mountains, rivers and a lake. It was close to stores for groceries and other things needed.

Had a great time
Loved the gym and all the toys, books, videos, etc. for the children and family fun. Number of beds and bathrooms was fantastic. Location is great. Tons of different places to see within reasonable time frame. So great for large family!!! The only thing that could be better is doing repairs to replace carpet, painting, air conditioning in gym/kitchen, and upgrade of electrical in kitchen area. That being said it is an old school house so I'm sure it will take years to make all updates needed. We would go here again!!!!

Awesome place for a reunion!
Great place, location, and setup. We had 50+ people from ages 1 month to 91 years. We rented the pirate ship slide, whack a mole ,and air archery all inside the gym from Goodtime Rentals. Everyone loved it! What a great time!

Fun place for a family gathering
This was a fun location for a family gathering. We had a great time playing dodgeball, volleyball, basketball, and many other games in the gym. The kitchen was well stocked. There were enough beds for everyone in our 40 person party, and the beds were comfortable. The building is older, with some chipped paint and older carpets, but that was expected and did not deter our fun in any way. The hosts were helpful and easy to work with. I'd recommend it to any family wanting to make some fun memories!

Nothing short of amazing fun!
Had a great family reunion. The gym was SO much fun. The kids always had something fun to do. Great kitchen space and plenty of room outside to pull kids on snowmobiles. Also fun that big Judds (hamburger place) is within walking distance. Overall amazing time!

Family reunion
We had a great experience for our large family of about 50 people. There is a lot of room and lots of activities right on site. The proprietors are fantastic and have made this a wonderful experience. The property is an old elementary school which has been refurbished and laid out to be very functional. It is not a luxury location, but worked well for our many children and grandchildren. The location is somewhat isolated. Thanks for the wonderful experience

It’s a fun place!
It’s a fun place! We were too hot in July is in the kitchen and the dining area and sometimes the gym, but other than that our family really enjoyed staying there.

Another Amazing Stay at the Old School Inn
It has gotten to the point where we don't even consider it a reunion if we are not at the Old School Inn! We love the location, the size, the layout. Communication with the owner is great. The gym is a huge plus. We are definitely coming back again!

Great place for a family reunion
We loved our time at the old school inn!! It was a great place that everyone seemed to enjoy. The only improvement that could have been made was to have air conditioning in the gym, but even without A/C in the gym, we still really enjoyed our stay and it was abnormally warmer than usual for the week we were there. Justin and Nicole were easy to work with and very responsive! We loved our time at the inn. Thank you!

Lots of room
We really appreciated Natalie and her helpfulness. We had them teach us line dancing and our group had a great time. Whenever I had a question, she quickly responded. It was really great because the gym not only had lots of tables and chairs, but there were toddlers toys the kids could play on, scooters, big wheels, etc.

Fantastic place to stay for a large family reunion.
We’ve had a difficult time finding a location for all of our large family to stay under one roof. This was great. The gym was also amazing and constantly used. Heise Hotsprings is close by as well. The owners were fantastic and helpful. It was a great venue for a large family with lots of space.

Charming Value
We had a family reunion with 18 adults and over 30 cousins. The Old Archer School was a great fit. We had room to play, enjoy a talent show, and prepare our meals. It is an older building, but you can tell the managers are working to update things while keeping the old charm. They were quick to answer our questions and offer help in any way they could.

Awesome for the entire extended family!
Our family loved this property. We had many family members coming to town for graduation and this place fit us perfectly. We had about 57 people staying at the property ranging from 1 year to over 60 years, and there was a place to sleep for everyone. In the daytime we had others join in those numbers and we all comfortably fit. The highlight was the gym. We played dodgeball, pickleball, soccer, basketball, had a graduation party with dinner and dancing, watched a movie and just had a blast there. The kitchen and cafeteria was awesome to keep the food contained to one area and it was big enough to make meals for 50+ people. I highly recommend this place for large groups and events. Our family would definitely rent this place again. The hosts were fantastic. They had great communication and didn't have any problem putting up with our noisy rambunctious crew.

Wedding Weekend
We wanted a place to house our large family for our daughter's wedding AND , if possible, a place to have a small family reception afterwards. Most venues, if you book and then have to cancel (due to CoVID), you would lose your deposit, etc. So.... since we were limited to the # of people who could attend anyways, and the Bride and Groom wanted a small reception anyways, we decided to try to find some sort of 'house' to rent. Then I found the schoolhouse. It was PERFECT ! With a few rented decorations (Rigby Rentals) and the bride's ideas of how else to decorate, we managed to transform the gym into a reception for 50 people. IF we needed, the outside had plenty of toys for the grandkids (as well as the inside toys and the full basketball court); Nicole & Justin were amazing! They were there for any needs or questions. They have put a great deal of work into renovations for making bedrooms and bathrooms for guests. It has the 'character' of an Old Schoolhouse, yet the bedrooms/baths were new. Our grandkids had plenty of space to run, scream, watch movies, relax (LOL) and eat! Having access to the old school kitchen and eating area was wonderful. They had plenty of tables and chairs for us to use. If we ever need a place in that area again for a large (or small) family gathering, you better believe, we'll look up Nicole and Justin again!

We extended our stay!
The property is 105 years old, still resembles an old elementary school in many ways, the floors creak, it's old, the property is accurately shown on the listing. We had planned to stay 4 nights with all children and grandchildren. Everyone had so much fun we extended 2 more nights. What property offers a full gym to play basketball, volleyball, ride bikes, trikes, go swing on a large swing set, play in the dirt with toy trucks and organize a softball tourney? For our family, each family had a room with a door, many had own bathrooms. Created great memories and plan to go back. Owners were available, helpful. Great experience!

Great family reunion location
The Old School Inn Archer turned out to be the perfect family reunion spot. We are pretty serious about our reunions which always include a theme and tons of organization. This reunion had an "academy" theme focused "learning by study and also by faith." Adults all shared something they have learned in their profession and through faith during brief "study halls" each morning and evening. The rest of the day was filled with art classes/crafts and physical education classes/games. Given our focus we were looking for an old school house and this ended up being the perfect one! We had 34 people attend and everyone was able to sleep in a comfortable bed and an air conditioned room. The kids enjoyed sleeping in the largest room filled with queen/twin sized beds and bunk beds. Adults had separate rooms, some of which also had bunkbeds for younger children needing to stay close to mom and dad. They gym, library, and cafeteria were incredible. Kids could play ball, ride scooters, and be active in the gym while others enjoyed playing cards and doing puzzles in the library. Everyone was happy! The gym also had a large screen and projector with sound system that we used for movies, slide shows, and Powerpoint presentations. The kitchen was great with lots of fridge/freezer storage space and plenty of seating. Nicole and Justun were great hosts. They responded to our text messages quickly and made sure we were comfortable without hovering over us. They provided us with suggestions for where to go and what to do. We especially enjoyed our trip to the warm slough to swim. We also rented the Strike Zone (bowling alley) for a couple of hours at BYU-Idaho and had pizza delivered. Nicole and Justun taught the entire group some country line dances in the gym for our "back-to-school" dance which was awesome! This place has everything you need for a great family reunion or large group get-together.

Enchanting Location for Big Family Gathering
We had so much fun holding our family reunion at Old School Inn Archer. The owners were easy to communicate with and kind in responding to our questions. We loved the cousins bunk room, the fun outdoor activities, and especially the gymnasium where members of the family of all ages spent hours of fun. We were able to get family pictures on the front steps of the school. The kitchen was perfect for preparing food for a big group. We hope to return for future reunions!

We loved being at the Old School Inn. The owners are awesome and easy to contact. It had lots of room, lots of bed, lots of fun things for the kids. We had about 90 people coming and going during our stay. Most of them stayed the night and we had plenty of room. We will be returning in a couple of years for our next big reunion!

Perfect for Big Families
The house was perfect for a big family. Enough space that you do not feel on top of each other. Also there are places in the inn that you can get away for a peace and quiet if needed. The only problem we had was with the breaker in the kitchen went out while cooking and we could not get a hold of the property manager to get power back on. Cell phone service was spotty which created it difficult to get in contact with property manager when help was needed. Once we did get a hold of manager he was very helpful and attentive. Overall very fun and kind property managers.

Archer School House
We recently stayed at the Archer School House for 5 days. It is great for a large family group. Not so nice you have to worry about the wear and tear associated with hosting a large group. But, we loved the gym, it had plenty of fun toys to entertain the children. The owners were great to work with. Don't stay here if you want a Hilton experience, but if you need to house a large group and want a place to enjoy together, this is great!

A fantastic place for a family reunion
We rented the school for our family reunion. This turned out to be a great place, offering activities for every age. The basketball court was great for the teenagers (in all of us) to let off a bit of energy, doubled as a cafeteria to feed the masses, became a stage to the talented performers, and any other activity we wanted to enjoy indoors. A baseball field, volleyball court, and other games in the massive yard outside gave everyone a place to get outdoors and enjoy some family competition. When it was dark outside, a movie on the big screen let everyone settle down before a great night's sleep. There was a bed for everyone, which is unusual with our large family. And for those who wanted to tuck in early, the walls of the school kept the bedrooms quiet despite the commotions going on elsewhere. We also found the place to be conveniently located to many other great activities. Rexburg is only about 10 minutes away. We rented equipment from BYU-I, had a picnic in the park (while the kids were enjoying the free water park), went hiking and wading in the river at the Teton Dam, visited a few museums, and much more. There was something for everyone to enjoy. The Rileys are doing an excellent job restoring the place. They kept the historic feel of the school, while giving you many of the modern conveniences and making you feel like you're at home. They were immediately available should we have any problems, not that we did! When it was time to depart, no one wanted to leave. Everyone agreed we want to come back soon!
