We appreciated the great location. The apartment was well appointed, but it was tight for the 4 of us. We did check in early which was an additional charge and that was not a smooth as it could have been. The access code was not properly activated so we were stuck outside until I tracked down someone by phone who could help us. We still enjoyed our stay and other than the very loud daytime construction directly outside, we would stay again.

The location is in the heart of the city, only issue is it’s not on a street, it’s hidden and sandwiched between buildings . Its view is extremely limited and there was major construction going on in front without any warning from management. The sheets on the fold out couch were never changed. They were stained with hair on them and the shower had black mold in the corners all over the knobs and shower hose. There was no detergent or dish soap for use of the utilities and the rug needs to be replaced. It had a slight odor to it. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Seems as if housekeeping needs to step it up.

We stayed in the penthouse apartment. The room was clean and stylish. The heated bathroom floor was a dream! But the best aspect of Ice Apartments was its location - right in the downtown area, literally steps away from great shopping, restaurants, and nightlife and 2 blocks from the bus stop to all excursions.

Location is best for everything you want to do in Reykjavik including connections to all tours. Apartment was clean and well heated. Weird that it does not have a dining table with chairs to eat and the kitchen supplies are not complete so prevents you from actually cooking.
