A bit further away from the center but still walkable distance. The room was clean and included bathroom. Share massive kitchen and a great living room. Parking is free at the weekend.
Nice student vibe. 5 minute walk from the BSI bus station and 10 minute walk to the RKV airport. Rooms are basic but very functional. Every room cluster has a large kitchen with common sitting area with a television and access to outdoors.
Property feels safe and is close to the University and Museum of Iceland. Ate at the student cafe: simple but good. Was able to store luggage until check in time.
Pricing is probably the lowest you can find with Reykjavik being so expensive. Walking distance to a pretty park and downtown.
Great place to stay for one or two night when traveling on the way to elsewhere in Iceland.
I would have given a full five star because the building is beautiful. Rooms are beautiful. The staff is kind and helpful. Amenities are great! however, the shower drain really gave off a bad smell and the vent in the bathroom isn’t strong enough to remove the drain smell and it creeps out into the room so that was very unfortunate because everything else was fantastic. Location was fantastic staff was kind. Everything was top-notch but the drain smell was pretty bad. I hope the management can work on that.
Very friendly staff and really tried to help with any questions I had. Everything was very clean, parking you have to pay for and they showed me how to use this Parker app. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough in the shower so the water just wandered off all over the bathroom floor, but there was not much you can do about that. We were in room 233 and it was quite warm, that was a very, very small window that was able to be open to cool off, but I would imagine normally that’s not an issue in Iceland. The kitchen has all you need to bring your own food and cook and all the people that stayed here cleaned up after themselves nicely. Highly recommend people to stay at a youth hostel because it’s all ages and you meet people from all over the world. If you were like me and traveled to multiple hotels and had extra things like teabags or cookies that you might not take back with you, you can leave them in the common area for all to share.
We had a great stay here during our one night in Iceland, reception was very friendly and the rooms and common spaces were nice. Location was also convenient for walking around Reykjavik, would recommend.
I always stay here before and after a long horse ride holiday. It's always the same and very affordable if you don't want to spend a ton of money on a room you will barely be in!
Very clean and efficient. Great place and would stay again. Door looks worked well but it would be nice to be able to access the builiding through other doors than just the main door which requires a number of stairs.
Staff was very helpful. The beds were comfortable. The hostel is close to everything. My only wish is that someone could turn the big light in the sky off when i went to sleep.
Very close and walkable to downtown shopping and food options as well as a lovely park. Having the university right there felt very safe, let alone a good chance for us to see some really neat architecture. The inside of the accommodation and the amenities were so beautiful and cozy.
Praises and accolades to the friendly, helpful staff at the student hostel. The facilities were excellent and the location ideal for walking into town. There was free parking in the adjacent lot, which made it a perfect base for the many day trips we took in Iceland. Highly recommended!

This is a great hostel to stay in if you’re looking for privacy and a clean/safe experience. I only wish I could have opened the window as the room was a bit stuffy, but other than that I ha
great place easy walking distance into town very clean shared kitchen plenty of space excelent cooktops fridges cupboards very clean canteen food great and drinks half the price in town bus stop out front Great place to stay staff very good
I’ve stayed at this property 5 times when taking students abroad. It is perfect for travelers who do not need bells and whistles. The kitchens are extremely well accommodated and you are sure to meet interesting people there. The rooms are small and efficient, but with great views, clean air, and powerful showers.
This is on the uni property and close to BSI for easy access to bus system. Lots to do nearby without being in the tourist area. Quiet and relaxing. Easy walk into town center.
Great option to stay next to the city and the central bus station (BSÍ) for lesy money. Own sink in the room, only toilet and showers are in an extra room. Very nice kitchens with enough space to store food. Everything clean and new.
