「Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. The happy birthday treats and petals were a really kind lovely touch too. The location was disappointing as we pulled up to the hotel gates in a housing estate (our expectation was a countryside hotel). 「We checked in owner was lovely very helpful but room very dated he even upgraded us so not sure what others are like the carpet was very bad dust here and there the nice thing was bath room and balcony after coming out of there I’ve noticed bite marks all over y body which are very itchy you don’t except that with how much we paid it wasent cheap for one night I’ve making contact for some kind of refund photos sent to agency」

「Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...
