"Property was clean, overall friendly staff, good location (proximity to beach). However, when I paid using cash (two instances), the restaurant staff returned me a smaller amount than the change due (1,000 instead of 1,450 and 56,000 instead of 56,200) without any explanations. Afterwards, when I asked why, they said they don't have coins (which actually the front desk staff did have 500 IDR coins) and offered to return an amount greater than the change due. While I appreciate the staff's efforts, I would not expect to have such experiences at a 5-star resort. Nonetheless, overall I enjoyed my stay."

"The breakfast was very extensive with local and American options. I would definitely choose to make sure the breakfast is included. The spa was great - about 42.00 per hour. I got a facial and full body massage. The kids had lots of activities to do. We did Batik painting and we didn’t have time but we would have done the ATV, archery, jet ski and paintball. The beach is not really a thing here but the private infinity pool and scenery makes up for it. The property is large and you can summon a ride on a golf cart anytime. Overall this is a great relaxing resort and you can’t beat the price as an American tourist. Don’t expect American resort standards and you will be happy."

"Oakwood has always been our first choice when we visit Batam. Best location right next to Grand Batam Mall where you have access to everything from eat to groceries and girls’ shopping. The hotel itself is fabulous as well, clean room, great amenities, yummy breakfast. Will be back, of course!"

"Only about 10 mins from Batam Ferry Terminal. There is nothing much around the hotel. But as Grab is very affordable in Batm, it makes up for it. Hotel room is clean and everything is well maintained as I think they have just opened in 2025. Breakfast is good with an IndoMie station."

"Staff at Cassia are super attentive. Unfortunately for me, I came down with fever and gastroenteritis . Everything tasted bad at lunch yesterday. A comfortable bed, and all's fine this morning. Hope my Goan fish curry tastes good!"
