This hotel was ideal for our one night stay to visit our grandchildren who live nearby. The staff communicated with us to explain about the problems with the kitchen but they produced two superb pizzas and the draught beef was really nice.

This pub changed hands September 10th 2026. I arrived on the 11th. Met by two large under-controlled ladradors, a strong smell of smoke (remember what that was like?) and a pub with no tap beer , no kitchen or other staff. No food. I left pronto. This review may be unfair to the new owners but my reception was less than impressive and I have my doubts. Caveat emptor.

Hot, sunny weekend, no opening window in room but could leave ensuite bathroom window & door open for fresh air. Hospitality tray and bottled water supplied as well as mini fridge, but that had terrible smell. Only « continental » breakfast which was disappointing. The toaster didn’t work too well to toast crumpets.
