“The cottage is extremely well kitted out, with a top class tea room and small general store in the village, just 40 metres away. There's no garden but enough room to sit outside at the front and have an evening drink. We didn't try the pub but it's worth looking at the reviews for it 😊 Fantastic walking from the door, and if the weather is good you can even swim in the river across the fields.”

“Very unique stay at Kestrel Yurt, food was beautiful and Jo is a fab host. Was great to meet the chickens too and enjoy a walk into Hawes and back with some great little shops to have a browse and plenty of choice for food and drink. Shame about the weather as we couldn’t bring ourselves to brave the hot tub in the wind and rain. But a great feature and loved the log fire in the yurt kept us very toasty once we got the hang of it. ”

“We had a fantastic time at this amazing place. We had lots of people but there are so many places to hang out that it never felt crowded. The quality of bedding ,towels etc was superb. Games room and cinema rooms were well used. Will be back soon .”

“What a fantastic place to stay , the cottage was perfect , very comfortable and felt just right .had everything we needed for our stay. Bed comfy and clean loved the way you slept downstairs and the views breathtaking. Lots of information and maps so perfect for us . No garden for four legged friend but walks just outside . We did keep our dog on lead due lambs and nesting birds . Fantastic pub 2 minute walk away . Will be going back without a doubt . Perfect for us .”

“The stay was lovely but spoilt by the lack of parking and very very pinched in space at the front. Large trucks and tankers have to get past, understandably but this presented a constant hazard to us right outside the door. I constantly tried to protect my car in an unsuitable space as its impossible to park there. I had a Ford Focus and I would not rebook because of this. Everything else is very nice. Its part of a very busy village, but unsuitable for guests who want to relax. I rebooked……

“The house is in a good location in the heart of Hawes. The house has three good reception rooms and 7 bedrooms, 5 of which are ensuite which are ideal for large groups as we were 13. 3 of the lower ground floor bedrooms were only accessible from the outside down steep steps, which is a drawback in poor weather and external lighting that worked would be helpful. We had a few issues that we reported and the property contractors could only resolve one issue immediately which was disappointing as……
