From your cottage door, there are wonderful walks to the very popular, ancient Hackfall Woods, great for that early morning walk with the dogs. The cottage is a great place to curl up in front of the wood burner after a day of exploring.
Grewelthorpe is also home to the Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park that has many visitors each year. Grewelthorpe lies between the unspoilt market town of Masham, 4 miles away, and the historic city of Ripon, 7 miles.
