“Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. We did flag this with the owner who was quick to respond and suggested using the fan. We……

“I rented the Cabin to have some solitude, peace and quiet. It was all of that. The cabin is clean, quaint, beautiful, and set up really nice. The view of the lake from the Cabin and front porch is spectacular. You have all need for cooking and place settings. I would make one suggestion, is to place a microwave if possible? I hiked the Skyline trail on the Cabot Trail, it was amazing. I saw a huge Rabbit on the lawn one evening. I videoed two amazing birds on the Post that holds the flag. On a……

The cottage had everything we needed and the view of the lake was beautiful!! The area is great for biking, kayaking, hiking and touring but also a great place to relax - we will definitely be back! “We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!”

“Well kept, older modular home. The place grew on me. It was early spring so the straight was readily visible. The driveway is quite steep. We didn't have any trouble getting up but it not for the faint of heart. The gas grill was a great feature. Wifi worked well. We visited "Authentic Seacoast"/Rare bird brewing and had a great time.”

“If you like to be secluded then this is the place..Beautiful setting with the water right there. The house came fully equipped, except fans because of no air and a regular coffee maker, but we made it work..We would of enjoyed the outdoors more but Mother nature had other plans. “Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving.”

“The house is on a small cove with beautiful views of the cove and ocean. The porch is delightful in the morning or evening. Quiet area, the road in dead-ends just past the house. Nice walk along the road or on the beach areas. Bob, the owner, was helpful in offering suggestions on local festivals and restaurants. A number of nice hikes on the neighboring Isle Madame. We had a wonderful time!”

“Beautiful property and grounds. We arrived near the end of season and after a heavy rain so the golf course wasn't opened. The meals were great and the staff more than friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.”
