“I'm not sure where my first review went. The picture of the rental is accurate however it does not depict a mattress that pretty much is on the floor. The floor is very wavy making you feel unsteady. The couch was also low and hard as a rock. The smith river behind the house is barely visibleThe worst part is the entry. Nowhere does it mention there are 18 steep steps to entry. The apt building is surrounded by a huge green construction dumpster, a church located in a modular house and active……

“Very clean & easily accessible space right in the heart of downtown. Most of the essential toiletries were provided though I brought my own. Lovely modern kitchen for cooking and washer dryer. The host the was friendly, responsive and has great taste in lotions that were provided in the room, they also informed me of a boil water advisory in the city after a water main break a few days into my trip. 10/10 no complaints. Note: There were steps leading down into the apartment when you come inside……

“The property is a sprawling historic house but it doesn’t seem overwhelming. Was nice to find fresh soap and shampoo available in each bathroom, along with an assortment of towels. Beds were comfortable. It’s well situated with a country setting but minutes away from the western edge of Richmond. If you like to eat in, Wegmans and Trader Joe’s are less than 15 minutes away. Was a very relaxed an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.”
