“It’s a life changing experience. The scenery is espectacular. I highly recommend the tours, they are one of a kind experience. Frankie was our guide, he’s extremely knowledgeable and will provide you so much history of the place and background on the local ecosystem.”

“The house was adorable and perfect for our relaxed little family of four and fur kids. We are easy going and really don’t need too much. With that said it was a rainy weekend and the walk from our vehicle to the house was extremely wet, socks, shoes, bottom of pants soaked. A nice little stepping stone walkway would be awesome. But unlike the rest of my family I packed rain boots and didn’t have an issue. The area was serene the hike to the beach definitely a crows mile, we didn’t ever end up……

“My two grown sons and I try to get up to the Ft. Bragg area for a few days every year about this time, and we found this place to be just about perfect in every way. Owners John and Wendy were excellent hosts, both friendly and accommodating. The house itself had tons of character, something I always look for in accommodations when we stay there in that area. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.”

“Visited with family during labor day weekend and everyone loved the stay. The location of the property is absolutely amazing with access to many beautiful beaches in close proximity. The property does full justice to the surrounding views of mountain, ocean and star gazing in the night. It was clean and well maintained. Appreciated the small thoughtful articles placed in the house by the hosts to make the satay very comfortable. Highly recommended!”

“Property is well used but nicely maintained. Location was perfect for us; close to all beaches and parks, towns but far enough that we didn't have the hustle of tourists and traffic. I would stay again in a heartbeat. There's so much beauty and nature left to visit.”

“Overall it was a place to sleep and eat and shower. We had to fix the glass shower doors because they were off the tracks. The bathroom door took full physical strength to make it latch by lifting up and pushing in. It was cold inside, couldn't find a heater. Exterior needs a lot of upkeep. The old decking was very slippery and so is the green painted concrete, some of the decking on the walkway was loose and there was a piece that was already broken when we got there. And not 100% sure why the……

“We had a lovely time staying at Sea Gate in Westport. The house was perfectly appointed, warm and cozy, bright and friendly. We loved sitting on the deck looking out over the Pacific Ocean as it roiled and splashed over the rocks. And we were lucky to have perfect weather all week. We hope to return again in the future.”

“This is my second stay in this home. It’s cozy and peaceful and perfect for our needs. I saw bald eagles and otters again and made some more wonderful memories. Cathy the owner is very kind and easy to communicate with. The home has amenities I don’t usually find in other short term rentals and the fresh eggs were a lovely treat. We will be back for sure!”

“I cannot fault this house/owner/manager for the attention to detail (decor & amenities), location and overall house arrangement (sleeping-beds/linens were great). Kitchen was fully stocked. However, I would suggest that each time the house is cleaned, I would have them check the smoke alarms &/or carbon monoxide detection devices, or automatically change every 6 months. At around1:00 a.m. first night, we were rudely awakened by deafening fire alarms in the house. Called management. They told……
