A very nice stay at Sonder Testaccio!

Sonder Testaccio benefits from a convenient location in a safe and quiet area. It is surrounded by pleasant restaurants and is close to a local market. For just EUR 15 per person, guests can enjoy a delicious continental breakfast. The front desk staff are consistently helpful and friendly.

Property was too hot . Room was uncomfortably warm. AC only works or only turned on in summer. It was 80 degrees in our room with the door open. Very uncomfortable sleeping .

Purtroppo ci è stata data una camera che non corrispondeva alla nostra prenotazione. Si trattava di una camera per disabili quindi con bagno senza bidet e doccia a pavimento davanti al lavabo. Nella nostra prenotazione non era specificato da nessuna parte che fosse per disabili, e le foto allegate della stanza ed erano di una camera con bagno standard. Al nostro arrivo la struttura ci ha detto che a loro risultava che avessimo prenotato proprio quella disabili di camera, e che comunque non avevano possibilità di cambiarla perché l’hotel era al completo. La camera a parte la grande scomodità del bagno era comunque ampia, pulita e ben arredata. Altra pecca il riscaldamento è centralizzato e non c’è quindi la possibilità di cambiare la temperatura in camera che era di 24gradi, faceva molto caldo ed anche se avessimo voluto aprire la finestra del terrazzo, entrava troppo rumore ed inoltre non era presente la zanzariera. Le camere sono poco insonorizzate si sentiva praticamente tutto, i nostri vicini di camera sono stati sul terrazzo a ridere e parlare fino alle 3 di notte. Peccato perché le camere sono belle.

Stayed here for a week; staff was great. Great room and wonderful air conditioning especially after a long day of travel. 24hr McDonald’s just a few steps away also came in handy. Would stay again.

Expérience mitigée. Personnel très serviable en revanche l’hôtel est mal insonorisé et nous avons souffert du bruit des autres clients , j aurais aimé laisser une appréciation plus positive hélas je ne peux pas passer cela sous silence. The staff is super friendly. The neoghborhood is amazing. There is a great community feeling here and all the restaurants are delicious and fun people. I love a firm mattress and I was not disappointed, I had the best night sleep. Rome is a great place to visit.

We loved that this property was less than one block from Testaccio Market, where we ate several meals and did some shopping. It was modern, comfortable, and near several bus lines. We liked the fact that Testaccio is still primarily a residential area, because we didn't want to be in a big tourist area.

Unfortunately we did not have the best of experiences. We understand this was due to Expedia not following proper marketing ethics however nothing was able to be done by the hotel as well. When we booked I picked a room that’s said King size bed room. The picture showed a normal room with a normal bathroom. So I selected it and paid for it. Upon arrive we found out that the washroom we got was an accessibility washroom and it was not fun to use. We were told to read the description of the room selection where it states that it’s an accessibility washroom however it doesn’t change the fact that Expedia used normal room pictures for that room selection. It’s a way to trick customers and then they have a no cancellation or change policy for our reservation. Expedia’s customer service was horrible and the hotel was not able to make any changes for our stay. We tried calling Expedia’s 24 hour customer service line and it kept hanging up when we tried to pick one of the many options. The hotel also tried to charge us for breakfast we never had. Overall the hotel quality was good however be wary when booking through Expedia as they will often not show exact pictures for the rooms.

Don’t Rome Away From This Hotel

We loved staying here while in Rome! The service was great, and the hotel is clean and quiet. The room itself had a great bathroom, AC, and balcony. I would definitely recommend.
