Red Cliff Cottage - Beach Front

Red Cliff Cottage is the ideal getaway, on an 8-acre property overlooking the beautiful St. Mary’s Bay, Enjoy the restful seclusion of the Digby neck while the amenities of town are only a ten minute drive away.
Ideal for people who enjoy nature and long walks. A few yards from the driveway is a path leading to a beach that goes on for miles perfect for playing with the dogs. Down the road is Annapolis Royal, Sandy Cove Beach, and Brier Island, the whale watching capital of Nova Scotia.

Fantastic Stay!

Piece of paradise

This may well have been the best place we’ve rented yet! It was private with a gorgeous view of the bay, so morning coffee on the front porch provided amazing sights, smells & sounds of nature (including birds & wild flowers along with the bay itself). The home had everything you could possibly need or want, and it was so tastefully decorated and stocked. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this home.

Beautiful location

House is in a wonderful location and is as advertised. Some directions would have been helpful, as the house is not visible from the road, and there is some confusion between whether the name of the road is ...Road or ... Lane (Lane being what the label is on the sign just before you turn). Another issue we had is that temperature control knob on dryer is missing. Some of information with house needs updating; in particular ferries down to islands are now free. But very nice place!

Very nicely furnished and supplied cottage.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and the generous supplies provided. The property was nice and the location very quiet. As we had planned to do whale watching from Brier Island the location was perfect for us, maintaining easy access to Digby. Enjoyed the welcoming gift as well. Thanks Yvonne for maintaining such a comfortable accomodation and responding so quickly to our few questions.

Lovely accommodation

The cottage is beautiful. Very clean, comfortable beds, fabulous view and well appointed with everything you need. The host was great, good communicator and helpful. She has provided a binder of suggestions for places to see and eat. The location is a quiet rural spot about a 12 min. drive from Digby, a charming town with world famous scallops. Annapolis Royal is about a 40 min. drive and has some excellent historical sites that feature the history of the Acadians, dating back to,1606. Highly recommended place to stay as a base for exploring the area, taking a whale watching tour, or just relaxing in the countryside.

Wonderful place to stay

We had wonderful days in Red Cliff Cottage. It is so cozy and well equipped. We enjoyed lovely view at St. Mary’s Bay from the veranda. Red Cliff Cottage is very good starting point for many trips, whale watching starting at Westport, Brier Island was an absolute highlight. Thank you very much!

Beyond Beautiful

We had an absolutely incredible stay. From, waking up to an ocean view right outside the bedroom window, enjoying morning coffees and evening drinks on the porch to indulging in the little extra details the owners provided, we couldn’t have asked for more. It even made this mom of 2 young boys feel pampered and on vacation! The location was perfect. It was remote enough to enjoy the quiet but close enough to town to grab groceries, gas, etc. We spent lots of time beachcombing during the fascinating low tides on the bay of fundy. The kids enjoyed swimming at Sandy cove where locals provided suggestions for locations to explore. I honestly can’t say enough about this property and area. We will definitely be back. Thank you for providing your beautiful space.
