Very cozy place. We spent two nights, neighborhood was pretty good, quiet nights. Rooms very clean and spacious. Just few details grill was dirty so I have to cleaned in order to cook first night and pool table is kind of old and we have to fix it since was lean or unbalanced. Kitchen very good and fully stacked with everything we need. Hot water is not enough for 9 people trying to get ready but everything very good!

This was my family's third trip to Ruidoso. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. My husband and I enjoyed playing pool every evening and my daughters loved having a tv in their room. I would recommend staying here.

Roomy but dated

Upon arrival it looked decent but upon further examination it was definitely dated and needed lots of upgrades. Floor boards broken, bathroom door didn’t close and it’s definitely been a while since it’s had a deep cleaning. We planned little get aways so we didn't have to be at the property the entire time. I highly doubt we’d stay here again.

Disappointed Stay

There was a musty smell upon entering the house. We had to go purchase air freshener for the weekend. The initial impression was poor as the house is much more dated than the pictures on the VRBO website indicate. It was clear the photos had been doctored. The fireplace does not ventilate well and is probably a fire hazard. We made a fire the first night and the smell of smoke remained the entire weekend. Even when opening the doors for fresh air. The mattress in the master bedroom was very worn out. The foot of the mattress sloped towards the floor. There's some sort of strange contraption that resembles a trash compactor that really needs to be removed. We could not get the living room tv to play live tv. When I called maintenance about it, I got a hold of a guy that had only worked at Hummingbird for a week and had no idea how to get it to work. There was zero follow up the next day to make sure we got it operating. All in all, I would never recommend this place to family or friends and most likely will seek some place other than Hummingbird cabins in the future.

This home had plenty of room for our grown family of five to spread out. We enjoyed the pool table and ate several meals on the spacious front porch table. The home could use a little updating, however it didn't keep us from enjoying the space.
