40th Anniversary

We loved this place. We enjoyed the peace and quiet here and spent quite a bit of our stay out on the porch enjoying the view. Highly recommend this spot for any couples getaway. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect Get-a-Way

This was our second stay at Little Pine cabin and it was again a wonderful visit. The view from the orch is breathtaking and the cabin is as comfortable as can be. A perfect couples retreat.

Cozy Cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this comfy, peaceful cabin in the Upper Canyon during late March. I can see how winter months would require 4 wheel drive. We had absolutely everything we needed in this well-appointed cabin. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great cabin!

I've stayed in many rentals in the Ruidoso/Alto/Cloudcroft area and this cabin is one of my favorite. The Host has thought of everything regarding the comfort of guests. The cabin is cozy, well layed out and close to town. Great place to stay when spending time in the area!

Great stay in Rudioso

This cabin was a perfect place for me on my quick trip to Ruidoso. Clean and quiet, a few minutes out of time but I like that so I could get away but hope into town to for dinner etc. Highly recommended!!

48th Anniversary

Ruidoso Get Away 2024

The Little Pine Cottage was perfect for our get away this summer... Sad to see the devastation that occurred in Ruidoso from the fires and flooding but thankful that the Little Pine was saved. We stayed there in 2019 and it was as perfect 5 years later as it was the first time. It was so relaxing and look forward to our return trip next year.

Great Getaway

This cottage was the perfect venue for our getaway to the Ruidoso mountains. The nicely appointed studio has everything necessary for a relaxing retreat—quiet location, good bed, and a deck complete with a beautiful view to enjoy a cup of coffee and watching the hummingbirds dance as they vie for a place at the feeder.

This was our first ever trip to New Mexico and we hit the jackpot with this sweet little cabin in the pines! From all of the accommodations, the view, it was perfect! These owners thought of everything! The cabin was so beautiful! We will definitely be repeats!!

Everything you need

The Little Pine Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Ruidoso. There is a feeling of privacy, yet just a few minutes to get into town. The owners have given their attention to the small details that add the comfort of staying at a home away from home. I personally love the view through the trees off the deck and the stillness of the tall pines.

Nice place

When they say upper canyon it's the upper upper part. Started off rough, our reservation was canceled. After about 3½hours on the phone, texting and emailing we got it straightened out. Property is very nice, clean and one of the best places we've stayed in here at Ruidoso. Thanks for wonderful stay.

Peace and Quiet

Wife and I headed to Ruidoso for four days of no responsibilities. Melissa and her husband greeted us and went above and beyond to help us find a spot for our trailer and truck. Had a nice visit with both and then didn’t see them again, communicating only by text. They were accessible if necessary but otherwise very respectful of our privacy. The cabin is owner-built and the attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. Fit and finish are top notch. Well equipped with everything we needed and then some. Can’t say enough good things about the host and the property. Minimal traffic. We will be back if they’ll have us again.
