Good Location in Sacramento

Location very close to Old Sacramento and Rail Museum. Not much restaurant around the hotel. Hotel staffs helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was nice.

dirty sheets with black hairs in the bed, only 2 lights worked, tv did not work and the staff said none of them worked, he lied to me, black feet or socks when you walk around form dirty floor, shower and sink did NOT drain - disgusting for the shower. shower had gunk and hairs in it. towels smelt weird and felt dirty, different color and shaped towels. non-smoking room def smelled like cigarette smoke, all my clothes smelled like it afterward. no amenities available, but stale coffee and plain bagel. hotel staff was more occupied hanging outside with people then helping customers. Literally one of the worst hotels ive ever stayed in, also a lot of crime activity around going on, felt very unsafe when by myself

The staff were friendly, but not very proactive. To get clean towels, one needs to go to the front desk. The room faced the highway, so there was considerable road noise intil midnight. There appeared to be unused rooms on the other side of the building that would have beed more quiet, but we werte not offered these. The hot tub was great and worked well. The pool was unheated. But i do not swim much so i didnt mind that.

The pool area looked fantastic, it was actually ready for use and clean an well maintained. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use it. Hotel is in a great location, though it is a little tricky driving in and out because of the traffic and the road set up of the city. The staff was very helpfulful and friendly. The only negative thing was the televisions in both rooms that we had booked, though big and new tvs, did not get reception to work. In other words, the machines themselves were working fine, but we would get error messages or blank screens. It didn't matter to us though, as we were out most of the time and too tired to watch TV when we got back. The staff offered us different rooms, but we were already settled and watching TV wasn't a priority at this time.

The bed was comfy, I like the hot tub, easy parking, walkable to tons of restaurants and old town sac, quiet. BUT the tv didn’t work, and I wonder if it ever did/will. The “complimentary breakfast” was a few bagels and muffins and coffee and nothing else. The WiFi connection was horrible and kept kicking us out unexpectedly.

There was no information about limited hours for check in until room was booked. Arrived after stated 10pm check in availability so had to get a room at a different hotel to be sure I had a room. Sent a message to Vagabond on day of booking saying that I needed a late check in not knowing that the front desk was not manned after 10pm. Never heard back from them saying there was an issue. They need to state their limited check in policies up front.
