"Ecolodge Beauregard wasn't what I was expecting. Don't take that as a negative it was a lovely location in the french countryside. The staff went above and beyond to help me get to the location, and make me feel at home. I would absolutely reccomend taking a car to get there, taxis are very expensive and Uber doesn't operate in this part of France. I stayed there ro visit castle Guedelon, an archeology project nearby i.e. figure out how to build a medieval castle by building one how it would...

"We wondered if we were in the right place because signage is minimal. But once Nicole met us warmly, we discovered her charming home. History and art fill every corner. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and spacious. Mattresses were firm, and linens were comfortable. However, on the second floor facing the street early morning traffic could be heard from a block away. We had to keep the windows open because there is no air conditioning. The cool night saved us though. A delicious breakfast was served on the lovely terrace with a beautiful view of Sancerre. This is the place to linger and savor the surroundings. All in all we enjoyed our time at Chancelière and we would happily return for another stay especially in cool weather."
