"The room was always cleaned when we went out for more than an hour. The bathroom and showers to. I did some simple stretches in my room to hang out with my spouse who didn't want to sit in the gym. Under the bed was spotless, they get all the corners. We did not have a balcony room but our view was still wonderful. Two birds hung out every morning in front of our window. We would make stories about them. The little things make you love it. Decent channels for a variety of tastes. The food in the resort was delicious every time. That breakfast menu is a winner. Everything fresh, beautifully plated, and delicious. Rajat, a chef at the Koi went out of his way to ensure we got the lobster dinner the night before we had to leave since it was due to be the special the day after we would be gone. That is above and beyond service, coming out personally to check that it was up to our standard. Edris was a lovely woman who worked in the Kois restaurant areas. I collected local fruits randomly that looked ripe and she would talk to my husband and I about them. Demonstrate how to open some of them like the almond fruit, and cut it up for us to enjoy. So knowledgeable and patient and happy to be of service. Sophia who massages in the spa is out of this world. I received the koi signature massage and the foot reflexology. She did not tire that whole 90 minutes. She listens to your requests and pain history. Relaxing. Kimberly and Stephanie who we mostly saw work up front are so helpful."

"Very good experience overall, the positives outnumber the negatives to reach still a five star and because it was the low season and I believe we had a good deal, it was worth it. The positive: the place was fresh in July, we did not experience heat, It was not humid and it was very windy all the time. As it is set in the mountain. Views were great of the sea, and we could even see st Eustatius when it was clear. The room has very high ceilings, and the space is abundant. The bed was good and so the sheets and pillows. The pool just out of the room was nice to have, We saw monkeys around. The negatives, we felt kind of stuck. There is nowhere to walk other than the property which is down and up steep roads. The restaurant was closed, so we ordered room service from a restaurant which was just ok. The breakfast was good. The outdoor bathroom seems like a good idea and felt liberating. However, with flying curtains due to strong winds, landscapers walking around in the morning, the potential neighbor next door and toilette loving frogs, seems that the room could use shutters that you can open and close instead. It did not feel private at all. It wasn't bad, but not ideal thinking that if the hotel would have actually been busy, then we would have had very little privacy while in the bathroom. The other negative is that roofs are falling apart. An old wooden tile fell on the ground due to high winds, we saw those in the pool area. Overall, excellent and will probably be back."

"Very nice hotel, very quiet, relaxing and beautiful grounds. We went in July and the breeze was nice and not hot, although we did use the very good AC in the room at night. Bed was excellent and so were the sheets and pillows. Staff is very friendly and relaxed but effective. The TV in the common area was not working but that was fine. Great wifi everywhere, good drinks. Food was reasonably good. Drive to the private beach was about 15 minutes, we did not use the shuttle. The beach was super nice, bar with drinks and we were by ourselves three days in a row. I would come back again every time."
