“We all really loved our 2 night stay here - the hosts were always friendly and really helpful with lots of local knowledge. The beds were comfy and the house has a lot of character. The breakfast was always delicious and a good sized serving.”

“A wonderful Manor House with views and trees, birds and big Wiltshire skies. Perfect room with an enormous comfortable sleigh bed, sofa and spotless bathroom. Wendy is a perfect host and was so caring of us. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully laid out on a large dining table. I so recomment this wonderful bed and breakfast and will definitely return some day.”

“Parking is not easy and the staff are kind but don’t really move from their seats. Place is a very old building done up but a bit pricey for what you get.”

“Clean and quiet hotel with lovely river and cathedral view from the garden terrace. There is no lunch or evening dining option at the hotel, so they provide a shuttle taxi service into Salisbury or it is a 15-20 minute walk into the city centre. Nice breakfast but an extra charge of £29 for two adults, which makes the room rate a bit on the high side. Free level parking. ”

“Although only booked for one night, but I had a very good experience.The staff are very helpful, the location is convenience that is close to town and just next to Cathedral. I love the fact that the hotel is a historical building and preserved so well from the inside and outside. Highly recommend to stay there while you visit Stonehenge, Old Sarum & Saisbury Cathedral.”

“I warned that I might be late on arriving. I was very moved by the care of the owners who had closed the curtains and put a light on when I arrived. The instructions to ensure the hotel is kept safe and secure is great. Owners are helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again, and I recommend anyone who is considering coming.”

“The room was very clean and comfortable. Quite steep stairs up to the rooms. Fine if you have no mobility issues. The pub is closed on a monday so food and drink unavailable. Lovely breakfast in the morning. I would stay again. ”

“Staff was helpful and the room was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were fine. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hotel, but there was an absolute terrible stench outside when we arrived, it could actually still be smelled in the room. It eventually died down but never went away”

“A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. Breakfast was OK and fairly standard fayre, but plenty of choice and supply. Staff all very friendly and helpful Very convenient for……
