"Overall: A relaxing stay with great airport access, but service needs some tightening up.
The Room: Spacious and clean, though the floor in our initial room (we stayed there twice due to our arrival and departure times) felt like it needed a good mop. I missed the complimentary slippers the previous Sheraton management used to provide, but otherwise, it was a good space.
Amenities & Atmosphere: Great, relaxing vibe. The beach and pool are both lovely. They did run out of pool towels due to how busy it was, resulting in a bit of a wait. We also checked out the casino for the first time and appreciated the good deals they offered.
Dining & Service: The food was decent, but the wait staff operations need improvement. Our order was misplaced, and three tables that arrived after us were served first. It took me speaking up to get things moving. Despite having plenty of staff on the floor, there was a lack of consistent follow-up with tables.
Location: Highly recommended for its proximity to the airport - very handy for early morning flights or late check-ins."
"The staff treated everyone with a true spirit of love and giving attitude, regardless of the amount of guests who were there at any given time. The staff makes the beauty of the resort come alive. It was a very great and relaxing time.
If you're going there to watch TV, you might be disappointed because depending on where your room is located, you may not have a good enough internet connection for service.
We would absolutely stay there again."
"We enjoyed everything the staff were very helpful and friendly, very clean site the maintenance guys were on the go all the time. Fia fia night was a treat"
"Lovely friendly helpful staff. Received a lovely drink on arrival. Rooms nice with outdoor showers. A little dated but the norm in Samoa it appears. Pool dated and needs cleaning. Daily free activities which were fun. Food and drinks cheaper compared to other resorts. Included breakfast not amazing but sufficient. Lots of roosters around so be warned of early wakes. Beach access across road with free use of kayaks"
"Beautiful location with little beach and rock pools for exploring. Pool was dated and unappealing. Great bar on the waters edge with sunset views. Buffet dinner and show was overpriced and boring. Did offer some free activities like crab racing, movies and church excursions. Room was ok but had no ambience and was dated with some things needing replacing like our rusty clothes airer. Food and room expensive for what we got and that was without breakfast included. Did get a small welcome drink on arrival."
"Lovely, helpful staff.
We had a King Bungalow which was traditionally decorated with a beautiful timber ceiling. We arrived to a sweet surprise for our anniversary of chocolates and decorated bed with foliage & flowers.
There was a good breakfast with plenty of variety with a view over the pool area."
"We had the most wonderful stay at Sinalei Reef & Spa Resort. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The food was absolutely delicious, and the location is simply stunning.
We especially loved the rustic charm of the rooms and the fact there are no TVs, it was the perfect opportunity to switch off, disconnect from technology, and truly relax. We couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind and would highly recommend Sinalei to anyone visiting Samoa!"
"We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our time. We deliberately wanted somewhere with no internet or TV to give our teenagers a break from screens and they didn’t complain at all. They played pool, card games and read books and we all snorkeled in the warm sea. The breakfast and dinners were varied so you didn’t always have the same meal and although I have coeliac disease they were able to cater for me too. The bathrooms, although shared, were always clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the fale was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend the resort but would also recommend hiring a car if you want to visit any attractions or Apia itself. The only thing that surprised me is how loud the sea can be so if you are a light sleeper take some earplugs."
"A stunning resort with the friendliest, most kind and helpful staff. Beautiful basic rooms, lovely pool and grounds. In good weather, some great snorkelling but in bad weather and high trade winds, a difficult place to enjoy the ocean. Pays to have a hire car but the resort offers daily outings. Amazing menu and often have special events with special menus in the evenings. Also has a beautiful spa onsite but pays to book in advance as it books out fast in advance. Quite far from everywhere so best to plan to stay and relax with a few day trips out. We loved our stay, but personally prefer savaii with its white sand beaches, slower pace and incredible reef snorkelling and swimming. Might just be because we visited during a long period of rain and high winds though :)"
