Geweldige plek

Prachtig gelegen en goed ingericht huis met een verrassend mooi buiten. De zon schijnt hier de hele dag. In de enorme overdekte buitenkeuken met bbq kan enorm genieten. De toerusting in de keuken is wat beperkt maar toereikend. Echt een genot om hier te verblijven.

Enjoyable outside space

The outside space is very good with heated pool and barbecue area which looks over the small village. We did most of our cooking on the barbecue as the kitchen dose not have an oven, electric kettle or dishwasher and only has 6 of each crockery wise, so if you are looking for luxury this is not the place. The WiFi works well but no English tv. But having said that , you get the sun all day and into the evening. The house was very clean and tidy and the outside space very relaxing with no disturbances or being overlooked from neighbors. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

A very pleasing holiday

We spent 10 days at this property. And very nice it was too. Very well looked after and with beautiful plants, cactus and fruit planted. Nice heated pool too. It was very good all round. The only one annoying thing...and this was no fault of Jenner's of course is the very rude neighbor to the right and front who thinks it acceptable to let their dog bark three or four times a night for an hour and do absolutely nothing about it. Thoughtless moron. Whichever way, a very nice home and recommended. Might be an idea to put a lid on the freezer unit though J. It was freezing the milk and fridge contents.

Charmantes Feriendomizil mit tollem Pool.Wir hatten einige schöne Tage und waren sehr zufrieden.Was der Küche fehlt ist ein Korkenzieher mit Flaschenöffner.

Sehr ruhige Lage außer das sehr störende Hundegebell auch mitten in der Nacht...

Die Finca war wirklich sehr gemütlich. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein , besonders die Küchenmesser sind sehr gefährlich ( so stumpf das sie sich beim schneiden biegen) Und ob der Pool geheizt ist bezweifeln wir : Er war eiskalt , da war schon bald das Meer wärmer als der Pool

Peaceful Cottage Retreat in Spectacular Area of Gran Canaria ideal for a Family Holiday

Las Colmenas is a thoroughly restored stone cottage against the hillside in a very pleasant rural location in the village of Cercados de Arana, near the head of the valley containing the Presa (reservoir) de Chira, and surrounded by hills. We had a wonderful holiday hiking and driving to many beautiful and spectacular areas in the vicinity. The cottage, its garden and pool side all have great privacy. It has no less than three locations for dining; in the kitchen, on the covered terrace by the entrance, and on the covered part of the pool deck with barbecue facilities. The cottage itself consists of two adjoining bedrooms with communicating door, one double and one twin off the entrance lobby, an L shaped kitchen/diner and a bathroom at the far end of the kitchen. There is air-conditioning in all of the rooms, but the only heating is a wood burning stove in the kitchen/diner, so the bedrooms were rather cold at night in early February when we arrived. There are 2 televisions and Wifi is about to be installed. In the absence of Wifi we were able to use our mobile phone for internet access. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with 4 rings, a microwave but no oven, and we cooked daily. We generally ate out for one meal a day, and good options are available in San Bartolome (20 minutes) and Ayacata (12 minutes) and Fataga (40 mins) away by car. Transportation is essential for a stay here as there no grocery shops or eateries in the village, but there are many excellent walks that can be taken from the cottage or close by.

Desconexión en la naturaleza

Sitio precioso, la casa muy bonita, limpia y cómoda. La piscina también estupenda. Tranquilidad máxima. Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. Hemos conocido a gente del pueblo y pudimos probar productos elaborados aquí. La gente que se encarga de la casa es muy agradable y elaboran productos biológicos muy ricos. No dejen de visitarlos
