Location is perfect. Otherwise I cannot think of any benefit of this hotel. It’s more like a hostel, the building is very old, the counter is not that friendly. The room is small and our room slopes badly, i cannot even stand still in my room.

I landed in San Francisco around 8–9 PM and had already sent my ETA through Expedia. When I arrived, the hotel door was locked. I waited outside for about 20 minutes in the rain & cold until another guest happened to open the door. Once inside, there was no staff present. The check-in kiosk was closed, and the only instruction was a note on a card with a Christmas tree, listing a phone number. When I called, the person who answered spoke in a defensive and aggressive tone, literally shouting “I gotta eat.” I then waited another 45 minutes for him to arrive. When he finally did, he did not say hello, offered no explanation or apology, simply handed me a key card, and provided no information at all (no Wi-Fi details, no instructions, nothing). Later that night, the overnight front desk agent arrived, and he was actually polite and helpful. However, I could clearly hear him questioning the earlier staff member about why the check-in kiosk was closed and why guests were left without assistance. The earlier employee responded defensively, used foul language, and claimed that I was lying, despite the fact that the kiosk was visibly closed. Their conversation was loud enough that I could hear it clearly from the first floor, which was extremely unprofessional. The room was below decent. I had to go up and down multiple times just to get a remote that actually worked so I could turn on the TV. The space felt very claustrophobic, and the smell in the hallway was so bad it made me

The staff were great, very attentive since we got there. The only issues were: the restroom door didn’t have a lock, there was a body hair in the “unused” coffee cup, and a bad odor in the hallways. All in all, the prices were not too bad, but the place can do better.

The most warm and kind staff at a perfectly situated location. Easy transportation to the entire city, rooms with just enough space to unpack and relax and two communal rooms to work, hang out, do laundry or prep food. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value in San Francisco. Shout out to Meghan and Rolando for being extra helpful with check-in/out at weird hours and storing my bags for much longer than planned on my check out day.

At check-in no one was at the front counter. I had to sit and wait outside. The bathroom had mold the chemicals that they use for cleaning was very strong in the room.
