“I've stayed here quite a few times, so that speaks for itself. The pool is the big asset plus the views across the valley. It's a bit of a trek up to Assisi itself - about 15 minutes up hill on a road with traffic. If you don't have a car, you need to plan carefully. You can get drinks and basic lunch at the house. It is rustic and that will either frustrate you slightly or charm you. Good price, idyllic setting - I just wish there was a bus or shuttle going up to the town. Very friendly new……

“Pleasant stay at a unique hotel ( it is a monastery). The location is ideal since it is across St Francis church. Rooms are clean and quiet. The terrace offers a fantastic view of the town and encourages contemplation.”

“We felt welcome here, from the minute we walked in, till checkout. Front desk staff seemed to be sincerely pleased with our stay. Lots of smiles, good advice, overall a success. Very good room, spacey, enough light, quiet with a good bathroom. The breakfast buffet was a delight with lots of choices and very friendly breakfast room attendant. Right next to the old town. You can take a taxi from the train station or the mini-metro for the more adventurous. Highly recommended. ”
