The apartment is located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside ""ideal for families"" 2 km from the historic center of San Miniato, halfway between Pisa and Florence but also a great distance from Lucca, Siena, Volterra, Vinci (The birthplace of Leonardo Da Vinci), San Gimignano and many other famous cities. Located in the heart of the relaxing, peaceful and deep Tuscan countryside has an optimal position for bike excursions, walks in the woods, tasting wine, oil and good typical Tuscan food as well as visiting San Miniato and the neighboring historic centers that offer an immense heritage of Art & Culture.

Among other things, the City of San Miniato was written the story of Pinocchio by Carlo Lorenzini and / or Collodi.

The property is a completely renovated farmhouse and includes two apartments (1st FLOOR 4 beds + 2 additional places on request) and (Ground floor 4 beds + 1 additional place on request) with a large garden equipped with all comforts, barbecue, bicycles, WI-FI connection, private parking and the assistance of the owner who lives on site. We also have two Tibetan Goats Romeo & Juliet, a Rooster and 2 hens, two Cats (Milou) and Gina our Jack Russell. However, they are separated in another Garden.

Magnifique région

Un Monsieur ( le propriétaire) très gentil, dommage que nous ne parlions ni italien ni allemand pour pouvoir faire connaissance d'avantage. Petit appartement propre, néanmoins bruyant entre l'appartement du dessus également loué à des vacanciers et le coq du voisin. La Toscane est une région magnifique que nous recommandons grandement !

Holidays at home

We’ve stayed at the Papillon’ house for 3 entire weeks and we felt at home since the very beginning. The house is fully equipped with anything you may need for self-cooking and, if something would be missing, the hosts would certainly provide it at once. Vittorio, Teresa and company are generous, caring and always there to help or simply for a nice chat. The outdoor patio, garden and the jacuzzi are nice and relaxing when you’re not visiting cities or other beautiful surrounding areas. Moreover, should you like the adventures, you have different bike’s sizes to be used to discover the rural area where the house is based. The house is quite far away from everything but any touristic site as well as the beautiful Tuscan beaches can be easily reached by car in an hour (Pisa, Florence, Siena, etc.). Then, there are lots of small and astonishing medieval villages in half an hour driving as well as treasures to be seen almost in every corner. Tuscany has a lot to offer, not only in terms of places to visit but also in terms of wines, fantastic olive oil and meat (loved the Fiorentina!) Considering the overall experience there are only 2 things to be improved that are already being set by the owners: the shower within the only bathroom that the house has and the connectivity.

Fabuleux

Un vrai coin de paradis en famille dans la belle campagne Toscane. Vittotio et Térésa sont des personnes accueillante, chaleureuse, souriante, serviable, d'une gentillesse infinie et ayant le coeur sur la main (bouteille de bienvenue à notre arrivée, offrantes de fruits du jardin, excellent pesto préparé par Térésa). Une propriété très bien entretenue extérieure comme intérieure. Le descriptif de la location correspond exactement.Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable. Vraiment un très grand merci à vous deux.

No excuse but to relax

Vittorio was very friendly and helpful during our stay. We communicated in German as my Italian isn't very good and Vittorio had limited English. We were able to use some bikes that are available to the guests to explore the countryside as the accommodation is quite a distance from most things. I was disappointed that the jacuzzi was no longer in action, it is only available from April - September and we visited at the end of October. There was no mention of this beforehand, so I was quite surprised when I was told it had been emptied and we were not able to use it. Overall it was a relaxing stay but I think this was mostly because of the area being beautiful and within good reach of many different places ; Florence, Bologna, Lucca and Pisa. Thank you. Schöne Ferienwohnung mit großem Garten auf dem Land

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 jugendliche Kinder) sind vom Vermieter sehr nett empfangen worden und haben z.b. auch während unseres Aufenthalts frisches Gemüse und Obst bekommen und konnten immer Fragen stellen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet., Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden gestellt. Toll ist der große Garten mit 2 Eßplätzen und mehreren Liegestühlen, ein besonderes Highlight ist der Whirlpool! Ein kleiner Nachteil ist, dass das 4. Bett im Wohn/Eßbereich steht, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Gerne empfehlen wir diese ruhige und schöne Ferienwohnung weiter!

Calme et accueillant. Idéal pour petite famille. A recommander vivement !

Résidence très calme au milieu de la campagne Toscane, mais sans être très loin de la ville. L’appartement est situé au coeur d’un triangle Florence , Pise et Sienne : idéal pour visiter sans faire trop de route. Appartement très propre, bien équipé et frais en été, même en l’absence de climatisation. Teresa et Vittorio sont d’une gentillesse extrême et nous ont très bien accueilli, tout en restant discrets. Le jardin est superbe et très agréable pour manger le soir. Ballons, raquettes et vélos sont à disposition. Le jacuzzi en fin de journée est un pur bonheur. Mael, Louis, Béatrice, Christophe

Merci beaucoup pour ce beau séjour et l'accueil très chaleureux. La région est très belle et nous avons profité de cette semaine pour visiter entre autres Vinci, San Gimignano, Volterra, de multiples autres villages et paysages...et bien sûr San Miniato). Nous avons laissé la voiture à la gare de San Miniato pour aller à Florence en train (parking gratuit, assez nombreux trains, la gare arrive au centre de Florence) Nous recommandons ce séjour pour la beauté des paysages et la gentillesse du propriétaire!

Comme un souvenir d'enfance ou vous retrouvez un lieu paisible et familier.

Nous avons reçu un accueil chaleureux, bienveillant mais tout à la fois discret. Nous nous sentions réellement les bien venus. La maison et ses extérieurs sont parfaitement entretenus et très agréables. La situation géographique est parfaite et la région splendide. Notre seul regret est de n'avoir séjourné que deux nuits. Un grand merci à nos hôtes.
